Sean Marks: A He had the balls to pull the trigger on the Harden trade. Not every GM is willing to take that risk

Steve Nash: C I believe he lost us some games, but he is a rookie coach. Will he hurt us or help us down the stretch? Thats the big question.

DeAndre : C+ I see an improvement over last season

Joe Harris: B Dependable sniper

TLC: D One of us on here said "He either shoots 80% or 20%". He probably deserves a C but he is in my dog house for too many bonehead mistakes.

Jeff Green: C

Bruce Brown: B IMO the surprise of the season. He is in a contract year and teams will be lining up to make him an offer.

Shamet: C

Reggie Perry D He is not ready YET.....Has potential, give him time

Nic Claxton: Incomplete But if I were to grade Nic on the small handful of games he has played thus far I would give him a solid B.

Kyrie Irving: A+ The man who made this all happen. I hope he retires as a Net.

KD: A+

James Harden: A+ His play making abilities make everyone better. The win streak out west and on the road is because of Hardens talent and effort.

Spencer, Shump, Cook, Roberson, Blake Griffin: Incomplete

Joe Harris is a solid A, anyone averaging 15 ppg and shooting over 50% from 3 is changing the other teams defensive scheme that benefits your team in ways difficult to measure. He has also stepped up defensively. Bruce Brown is also higher I would give him an A off the bench. Jeff Green is playing great I would give him a B+, he is shooting over 40% from 3 and the dunks are inspiring for a long tooth vet, and he is playing solid defense. Shump and Roberson were done in my opinion they can't shoot. I agree with the rest of your analysis.

Nash: F (would be F- but he has been a good of the court manager of egos). He is worse then imaged any coach could be

DJ: B- Super Solid. Has played great during our long win streak. playing well on both ends. would be a B but not enough minutes

Green: C. offensively as a stretch 5 great. he's been elite from 3 and with turnarounds. defensively we cant stop a nosebleed.

Claxton: Incomplete. trending towards B+. need to see it more and see it vas good frontcourts/elite drivers

KD: Incomplete. Trending towards A+. just needs to stay away from superspreaders. screw adam silver

Brown B excellent defender, ooffense has been solid even without 3pt volume. energy guy we need

Harris: B. as good as you could possible ask for offensively. most of the time part of the problem on D, overall outstanding

Shamet: C- Was a D- early on for too much longer then we'd like. has played like a B- since late january. keep it up

TJ: Incomplete. our best 2-way guy off the bench. not enough action. playing at a C to B- level. great role guy

TLC: D is good 1 out of every 3 games. lowest iq guy on the team. make it being good 2 of 3 games he may play again

Kyrie: A Super elite offensively. sacraficed his role. excelleing in hsi new one. positive overall on D. docked the "Plus" due to missed time

Harden: A+ Leagues MVP right now. makes everyone better

IF Harris is an A whats harden? an A++++++++++++++++++++++?

Harris is great for his role but its still a role. he succeeds more because of the A talent around him then the other way around. defensively some good moments but overall on D not a posisitve.

we all love joe. he isnt in the KD/Kyrie/Harden class of A grades

Marks/Harden/Joe/Bruce have all been superstars within their roles of GM, actual superstar, starter/6th man and role player.
You could add Kyrie and KD their too but they haven’t been the most available players but on court also top tier.
Jeff and Nash been good. Jeff does everything well in his glue man role and been elite as a low volume spacer. Nash/MDA offense is ridiculous. Harden/Harris and former end of rotation players have been unguardable. They just been equally bad defensively. Well not equally but just as bad. Personnel or schematically something is a massive problem. My only theory to continue switching is that in the PS it becomes far more common. However switching teams usually don’t give up obvious mismatches not willingly remove rim protection.
DJ regressed to me. Feel he was much better last season. But again the team scheme does him no favors. It actually hurts him a lot. It would also hurt Embiid and Gobert too. He has one defensive strength and we don’t play to it. When we do(Indiana) we and he actually look great defensively.
Shamet/Tyler/Claxton are all having moments worthy of notice but not enough(Claxton just came back and I still don’t think him a center but a PF, especially defensively. Alternative world he and Allen would have been great together).

Good point

You can grade on the curve as long as you state it.

Example: If you think Joe and Bruce deserve an A because they out performed your expectations then state that. If on the other hand you feel that Kyrie does not deserve and A because he missed time that fine also

You can either grade them relative to their expectations and role or grade them as a whole.

I prefer grading relative to expectations/role since someone who is a top player in the league like KD will never fall below a A- even if he has a terrible season if you grade them as a whole.

I am grading everyone relative to their role. I mean, come on it's common sense that Kyrie/KD/Harden are "A+" players. But in terms of their role on the team, some guys are blowing expectations out of the water.

Sean Marks: A+, the Harden trade has us championship bound.

Steve Nash: C-, the guy is learning on the job but we are #2 in the East and climbing.

DeAndre : C, he's becoming a solid veteran starter after getting reamed by both Nash and Harden for his effort. 7/8/2blks per game, I'll take it.

Joe Harris: A+. God level shooter in this offense. The most dangerous man on the team in a sense that his shots will be back breaking to opponents who have no choice but to leave him open.

TLC: D-, I like the guy but his IQ is really poor and when his shot is off it makes it even worse.

Jeff Green: A-, he's given us way more than what he's being paid. 51/42/80 are you kidding me? And dude has thrown down the hammer multiple times this year on people.

Bruce Brown: A. I love this guy, his attitude, his hustle, and his elite finishing ability at the basket. He is definitely a championship level role player.

Shamet: C-. The guy started out as bad as anyone could have and he clawed his way back up to shooting 36% from three and is now another weapon in the arsenal. I have to give Shamet credit for continuing to keep at it.

TJ: C+. Love this guy, he gets his hands dirty defensively and is hitting a clean 40% from the 3. The Nets have an embarrassment of riches and having this guy is one of them.

Cheese: N/A, he really doesn't play but I like when he does because that means we are blowing someone out.

Reggie Perry: F, he is not ready but that's okay.

Nic Claxton: N/A, small sample size but he is quickly speeding towards A territory if he keeps up his hard work. I love the guy

Kyrie Irving: A+. I was hard on Kyrie earlier because of the distraction that his absence caused and I wish I wasn't. He has been a flat out stud since taking time out for his mental health and here's to him making the All NBA team this year. Jaw dropping metrics.

KD: A+. The man is a basketball god.

James Harden: A+. Our lord and savior. I want to invest in whatever company provides him with grooming products to maintain his magnificent beard.

Spencer, Shump, Cook, Roberson, Blake Griffin: N/A, although Roberson is trash.

Marks: A+, gutsy blockbuster trade, forward-thinking moves around the edges

Nash: C, seems to be pressing all the right buttons off the court. In-game he's shaky, out of touch and prone to wilfully ignorant experimentation

Durant - A-, he's already healthier than I had hoped, shooting the leather off the ball, his turnovers and cavalier COVID precautions knock him down a peg, still the only player who can outduel LBJ for a ring

Harden - A+, brought a selfless attitude and MVP production, steadied a very mercurial team, our best player in both ends

Irving - B+, when he's 100% healthy, he's half AI, half Kobe. His shoulder is not right, his shooting took a nosedive the last 2 weeks and he kept firing blanks, his defense is a real concern in the postseason even with all of our firepower

Harris - B, blistering efficiency, both improved and more overrated as a defender, testament to the system, great freehand tattoo of mom

Jordan - C, only takes great shots, works within role, can't switch, slow to rotate

Brown - A, has unlocked his and our potential with 2-way hustle, nearly automatic in the paint

Green - B, great min pickup, knows the system at several positions, having a career year shooting, willing to cover C minutes but easily exposed there defensively

Shamet - D, teacher's pet, disproved the premature sniper label, doesn't bring any other NBA plus-level skill set, struggles with confidence, often compounds mistakes

Cabarrot - D, lucky to have been given so much rope, stepped up in a couple games offensively but D is awful yet he somehow thinks he's a stopper, atrocious decision maker on-ball, would be even more selfish if he could dribble

Johnson - B, "gets it", always willing to do dirty work for the stars and moves off ball to relieve pressure, does not smoke methamphetamine

Everyone else gets an incomplete. My grades may sound harsh, I think it proves how much room we still have to improve!
