It sounds great and all until Drummond gets here and starts chucking up 19 shots a game and only makes about 9 of them. There’s a reason he’s getting bought out.

19 is an exaggeration. For most of his peak years in Detroit, he averaged about 13-14 FGAs per 36 minutes. For comparison, Robin Lopez is launching about 10 shots per 36.
But your point is well taken. Drummond's shot selection leaves much to be desired. He would be a more useful player if he could be convinced to shoot about as often as Lopez.

Would a Wiggins + Oubre + Minny's 2021 1st round top-3 protected pick be good enough to have Beal + filler (Deni Avdija)?

I’m sure it’s mostly just a Cleveland thing, but any extra possessions that Drummond gets you with his rebounding, he’s giving right back. He’s shooting 19 times per 36 this year. Nevermind the 4 turnovers per game.
It’s nice to look at the rebounding numbers, but there’s a reason Cleveland just wants him to go away.

Not even close.
First of all, Avdija is not filler. He's a rookie lotto pick.
The starting point in any Beal trade would be Wiseman + MIN pick + GSW pick + filler (either Oubre or Wiggins). And then it's a question of whether it's reasonable for the Wizards to ask for future picks or pick swaps.
Lately, I'd say our enthusiasm for trading Beal is waning. Beal keeps getting better and better, while professing his loyalty to the organization. Meanwhile, the Wizards have won 8 of their last 11. They now believe they are a likely playoff team, at least the play-in game.
Likewise, the enthusiasm from Golden State is probably declining too. Particularly when the filler probably must be Wiggins, and he is playing pretty well for you.

Rui is a nice kid with good size & good athleticism. He might someday become a good player.
OTOH, Collins is a good player. His numbers are off this year, but maybe that's b/c of his situation in Atlanta. He's certainly not showing that he's worth a max. If someone wants to overpay him, we might lose him in the off season. In that case, it would have cost us Rui to have dumped Bertans.
That's how things work in the world, including the NBA: when you make a mistake it costs you something to fix it.
Say what!! You're willing to basically give Rui away for absolutely nothing in return--which would be the case if Collins doesn't sign with the Zards--just to dump Bertans contract.
PIF, I know how little you think of Hachimura...but that's just stoopid.

Calling Avdija filler is trolling.

Hopefully he won't be a draft mistake like Jan Vesely.. ouch. LOL. But, I think you guys are really over-valuing Beal. He's got his shots and numbers because who else do you guys have besides the inefficient Westbrick? Your guys' team is bottom 10 in offensive rating. He's essentially balling right now like A.I. or even Monta Ellis because there's not enough collective talent to help the team.

Fine then. Go away. Let us continue to "overvalue" Beal in peace.
And comparing Beal to Monta Ellis is a joke. How many seasons did Ellis average 33 points per game on a TS% of .600? In his best year of his career, he posted 21.5 points per 36 minutes on a TS of .536. LOL

Don't you diss Golden Boy Ellis, LOL. But, I guess both of them have something in common: Being volume scorers on pretty bad teams.

Monta Ellis averaged 18 points on 52% TS in his career. He was barely even a net positive player.

Re: Official Trade Thread -- Part XL
In Detroit, Drummond was more than "pretty good" statistically -- in some years he was tremendous. Including his rookie year.
Big problem with him lately is that he wants to take a lot of shots, but he doesn't shoot well. &he turns the ball over a whole lot.
I wouldn't do the trade you suggest, nate, for several reasons. For one thing, under no circumstances would I move Bryant for a guy I'm likely not to keep past this year -- why ever would I do that? If you trade a guy who has actual value, which Bryant certainly does, then you want to get back an asset whose value is likely to grow over time. Otherwise, long-term, you get worse with every trade.
Aside from that, your trade, as you point out, adds $3+m in salary. That puts us over the tax line. Yet, since it moves 4 guys & takes only 1 guy back, somehow we'd have to add 3 guys to our 15-man roster....

Actually... I should have used green font, sorry. Or, really, I was just trying to highlight that giving Bertans a big payday was an error -- b/c getting rid of the mistake could cost a young player. I didn't invent the trade idea itself; I was commenting on it.
In fact, I don't really want Collins, precisely b/c I do think we'd lose him in the off-season. Anyway, Collins is making $4m this year -- how could we trade $20m in salary for him?

He is also getting praise from the national media for his stance on this. Grudging respect from the broadcast booth of other teams as well. He is cast in the same light as Dame and and Stef in wanting to stick with the team they've got instead of being a mercenary who hunts the best deal wherever they can.

Wait wait wait! Don't go away mad. Come back and post HERE where we can properly taunt you. By all means tell us how much we need our former bust Kelly Oubre, and your early bust of a #2 draft pick in exchange for the top scorer on the Durant team in the All stars. Please tell us how it will help this squad that has won 7 of the last 10 and is frustratingly seeming to find its stride while the fanbase is frustrated that our chances of a top 4 lotto pick are getting more slim. Yes Wiseman and Wave Papi will help with that part, no doubt. What else ya got?

Thanks for the generous offer. We've been trying to unload him for years. We would have been happy to attach an unprotected 1st round pick or two, and you can keep your top-3 protected pick. Not only will be give you Avdija, our recent 1st round pick, we will make the deal more even, and throw in Hachimura, and Bertans as fillers. Cool?

I was thinking add in troy brown jr and Mo. Or robinson and bonga to even it out? Make it a top three 2025 pick if not conveyed 3 seconds or something is that fair? Does either team do it? I doubt it.

I don't understand a word of this post. How are the Heat trading for players they already have? If they are trading with someone else, who are they trading with? What are they getting in return?
