Lol I guess, but if you can't rely on him, what's the point? If we have to use capspace to sign him, you could get someone who is more useful and will you know, actually play. We're not winning any championships because of how our lineup looks on paper.

Looking way too hard into this imo. As a free rental, he's about as good as you're going to find.

Maybe, I just don't want to waste space on a player who will rarely play. I'd much rather get Larry Nance Jr. I know he's not a buyout candidate but he'd really shore up our defense on the bench, and would be able to play small ball 5 over Dwight, although Dwight has been better than anticipated.

Not seeing the Larry Nance / OPJ connect. Like you said, Nance won't be bought out and would take premium assets to extract from Cleveland. I like Nance a lot also.

If it's a buyout market discussion and I'm deciding between an injury prone but productive player - or a more reliable, non-difference maker the choice for me is easy.

But I get you.

Yeah no real connection between Nance and Porter. Just expressing my desire. Yeah I get it about OPJ. His theoretical ability would really work on this team. If we get him I'd just pray that he can stay healthy, as he would definitely help the team. Let's see though, I have a feeling Morey has something up his sleeve. He's not dumb, and knows that we can't squander this year with Jo playing like an MVP.

To Orlando For:

Ben/Tucker
Jo/Howard

Don’t know if Orlando accepts that deal, but honestly think that makes us legit contenders to Brooklyn and Milwaukee
Counter:

Thybulle + Green for Fournier?

Beal, LaVine, Lowry, Fournier, Gordon... Give me a guy that can score on and off the ball and let's roll.

Obliterating our wing defense seems unwise.

Not a bad offer in terms of value...but as someone already said, it would leave the Sixers in a really bad place defensively. We rely heavily on both players for wing D behind Ben.

Adding in our old buddy James Ennis does still work though. Would make it a lot more intriguing

i was just playing with adding Ennis and see you guys have a TPE that could be used. Would you part with a future 2nd to include Ennis?

Fournier for Green/Thybulle
Ennis for TPE/future 2nd (*can't trade TPE by itself*)

I imagine an offer for Fournier would involve our bench trash expirings + a 1st or a couple 2nds rather than key pieces in our rotation.

Ive seen a few check marks on Twitter reporting this too. We better do something before we really get left behind. This is some bs. I hate when teams do this crap. I don't blame them but it's corny

Why is Drummond a concern for us?

Isn't this gonna eat into their MLE and leave us a clearer path to sign buyout guys like OPJ and whoever else shakes out?

One less min guy option on the list.

I don't get why the Jazz keep getting shooters though

Name a more ideal buyout guy for the Nets than Drummond (the greatest defensive player of all time, one might add)

Our old friend Ilya to the Jazz.
They didn't have too much shooting eh...
