I never understood why we traded Olsen. Never.

I wish the media would stop handling this as a "good-guy/bad-guy" thing.

We don't know what Robinson's camp wants. The media is telling us that Robinson's number is $20mil/year. The tag # is said to be $18mil. If Robinson's # is really $20mil/year, this ought to be easy. Robinson at age 27 is not an extreme risk for a 4-year $80mil contract (big signing bonus spread over the 4 years, making it much more cap-friendly).

Now if the $20mil/year Robinson asking price is significantly understated, it's a lot more problematic and helps explain why this deal hasn't already gotten done.

Recent update to CAP, almost certain to be 182.5M. We will be 20M over with the FT for Arob and other signings but plenty of time for cuts, trades & restructures.

Bears should still be able to maneuver. I would cut Trevathan, the whole O-Line and EJax if I were them.

So apparently Russell Wilson trade destinations have been removed as a prop bet and the Bears super bowl odds just went up significantly (+6000 to +5000). I don’t think franchising Robinson makes that shift. Fairly significant movement in Vegas right now.

This same scenario happened to Wentz and Indy right before he got dealt.

Bears Twitter has been going bananas the last few hours. Would be more surprised if it didn’t happen at this point.

Let’s get it done.

I’m expecting 3 1sts and Roquan and Mooney.

I’m pessimistic it’ll be more than that. 2nds and 3rds will be included too I think. Crazy how quickly Seattle has moved on from an elite QB, the offer has to be almost silly to me.

When I say “Bears Twitter”, I don’t mean their official Twitter account, I mean bears rumors on Twitter. Nothing official, but a lot of buzz.

Couple of examples.

It would not hold up any trade but I really hope Mooney is NOT part of the trade (I think Anthony Miller will be imo, part of that is because Miller has already begin to "unfollowed the Bears. I know that not a lot to go on, it's still something). Bears will still need weapons and trading Mooney in the deal for Wilson would be counterproductive. I rather give up the draft pick over Mooney, quite frankly I think SEA would prefer the draft pick.

With that said....I am not getting my hopes raised. If Thurs comes and nothing happens, then I won't and can't be disappointed.

Ryan Pace and George McCaskey have grabbed each other by the throat and wrestling to throw the other into the wood chipper. The suspense is building who wins.

Russell Wilson odds on his playing team next year have been taken down from the betting sites.
