Sad to hear that former Net Sean Bradley was stuck by a car while riding a bicycle.

Prayers to him and his family. He was always a good guy.

Marks on odds of Dinwiddie coming back for the postseason: “I would never bet against Spencer Dinwiddie.…Who am I to sit up here & say he’s not able to do something?...If there’s a chance to him to come back & play in the playoffs we’ll have to evaluate that at the time.” #Nets

Can’t help but read between the lines and take the positive here ( forever the optimist ). Most could speculate and suggest what having spencer back would bring ( positives ) but would there be any negatives bringing him back during this year’s playoffs?

Thoughts?

Bucks won again and now are #2 in the east. We’re #3. Heat is #6 as of right now. As it stands, we gonna face Heat in rd1, Bucks in rd2, and Philly in conference final. We just like to make things harder for ourselves, don’t we?

Bucks are reportedly cutting Rodi to make room for another player.

We should bring him back.

With the win last night, this year is officially our best RS in NBA franchise history.

If Washington (32-38) beats the Cavs (22-48) on Friday, the Wizards officially clinch a play-in spot.

More importantly, that would officially eliminate the Bulls.

Why does that matter for us?

We play the Bulls on Saturday, the day after they were officially eliminated/deflated.

So we would close out the season with two teams, Bulls and Cavs, who are officially OUT of the tournament.

However if the Cavs upset the Wizards on Friday, we'll be playing a Bulls team on Saturday that still has hope.

Needless to say, if we want to keep that #2 Seed, it really behooves us for Wash. to win and close the deal.

Bulls are in a quandary, they face us and the Bucks. Magic owns their top 4 protected pick, Sacramento and New Orleans started tanking and are one game behind them in that regard. If Bulls win against us and lose to Bucks they still miss playoffs but their odds of keeping their pick go from 1:4 to 1:6. They should tank considering what's at stake here, getting one of the top 4 draft players this year would be huge.

o/u 2% , in the (likely) scenario we don't win, MDA goes somewhere else, Nash demoted to lead assistant and Carlisle is brought as head coach?

Carlisle is not the right fit... they need someone younger and who can relate and manage to stars, not just do the Xs and Os.

I'd Hope for Chauncey Billups, Sam Cassell, or Becky Hammon

Brooklyn Nets owners offer loans to local Black business owners
“As the City comes back from the pandemic, we have an opportunity to do it better than we did before, to address some of the longstanding barriers preventing the accumulation of Black wealth and ensure that everyone can equally benefit from the capital that is coming into our city anew,” said Gregg Bishop, Executive Director of the Social Justice Fund, in a release.

Even before the coronavirus pandemic, Black Americans faced systemic racism in the country's economy, which was built on their stolen labor and wealth. More than half of all Black entrepreneurs do not apply for credit for fear of not being approved, according to a 2014 study cited in the press release; that fear is not unfounded. Last summer, a study found that white applicants looking to secure Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans were treated more fairly than Black applicants in two major cities.

Through EXCELerate, the program funded by the Joe and Clara Tsai Foundation and run by Bishop in partnership with two community organizations, Black, Indigenous and other business owners of color who were able to stay open through the pandemic can get up to $15,000 in loans without interest. Those who closed temporarily or reduced hours and services can obtain loans of $15,000 to $100,000 at 2 percent interest. These loans will not rely on credit scores, which the release called "deeply-complicated and often discriminatory," instead using references to offer "character-based" loans.

This is amazing. So many people were hit hard last year and got squat while cronies and businesses that didn't need the loans (hi Lakers) got paid by Trump. Kudos to Papa Joe!
