Tim Duncan Talks More About Turning Down Orlando...

Post#1 » by Big NBA Fan » Tue Mar 9, 2021 2:50 pm

As we all remember, Tim Duncan was recruited very aggressively by the Magic in the summer of 2000 and here is a recent interview where he elaborates on why he chose to stay in San Antonio. He confirmed he was "pretty close" to joining the Magic.

Man, Duncan/Hill/T-Mac/Mike Miller?! Good luck beating that team. Probably the biggest What-If in NBA history.

Starts in minute 52 of the video. Probably the longest interview Timmy has ever given,

When I was at UF my girlfriend at the time was going to UIW in San Antonio and she was working at a Gamestop near the huge neighborhood where most of the Spurs lived. I remember her calling me after Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, and Eva Longoria came in to the store to buy an Xbox and accessories to play Halo. She freaked out as a long time Spurs fan and told me how super nice Tony and Tim were to her and the other staff and hung around talking about games until Eva Longoria went nuclear on them for taking too long and it turned into poop show.
