Saric stats in the last five games (4W-1L):

13.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists in 19.4 mpg and shooting 44.4% from three.

He is finally healthy and he looks fantastic as a first big coming from the bench.

I think he can be as good as Lamar Odom was on the Lakers from 2008 to 2011.

On those three years, Odom played around 30 mpg coming from the bench and won 6th Man of the Year in 2011.

Obviously he has not played as well yet on the Suns, but I think that is a realistic ceiling for him in his prime.

We've tried everyone possible at PF so not sure they see Saric being able to replicate his numbers next to Ayton.

In playoffs though if the rotation gets cut down to the essential guys he could get 20-25 minutes.

So valuable in non-Book/Paul lineups to have an elite post-up player.

Hopefully Dario can build off this game. He played really well. We will need him down the stretch and in the playoffs.

I forget if Dario can potentially be back for the playoffs or not.

I don't think they ever mentioned a timeline. Only "indefinitely"

A nine month recovery would have him relatively healthy by the first round of the playoffs. Would you consider trading him for Robert Covington and a late FRP?

I've told people here that there was interest for him in Portland as a cheaper alternative for you guys than Love and Gallo. Personally, I'd trade him to you guys for Covington straight up! For us specifically, we need a player that can contribute now, not later. Especially a versatile defensive wing with small ball potential. I'd even throw in a 2nd for you guys taking his salary back this season. You guys could even look to recoup his value when he returns, and package him in a trade to Indy for Sabonis or Turner? :D

Covington just has those 1 of 7 type shooting games when you least want, I'd prefer Batum as a 3+D forward.

Yeah, I don't understand why people don't care about how well or bad a player is doing in this current season.

That is the most important thing IMO when you are trading in the middle of a season.

Covington is embarrassing himself this year. Ask to any Blazers fan.

Sorry guys, I meant to say the blazers trade Covington for Saric (or some other salary filler) and a late FRP (or maybe a 2nd is more appropriate if Saric can still play). The Blazers are shopping Covington to contenders. Trying to get some value out of him before he leaves in the off season.

For a 2nd, yeah I think it's still a good use of assets. The fact that Saric and his $8-9m contract will give us nothing this season means almost anything you can put on the court would be better (unless the player is detrimental to the team). So while Cov isn't especially high on my list, if it means turning a non-functional asset into a functional one, that's perfectly fine to me.

I think Kellan Olson is basically just showing us he is able to attend practice and has access.

Dario Saric said at this point it is likely that he’s out the rest of the season but didn’t want to rule out being an option in case something happens like three bigs get hurt and he’s feeling healthy.
