Unless it’s for a proven star like Beal or Lavine, I can’t imagine them trading any more first rounders or pick swaps

The Mavs lane towards more traditional lineup and build a running team after that. The second unit could pay dividend to win-loss category. Just put everyone back to natural positions. End the zone defense and unfavorable mismatch experiment. In clutch situation, Luka can play the 4 and let Hardaway space the floor as well. Theoretically, this could end the Rick Carlisie tanking in 2021.
C - Kleber / WCS / Holmes
PF - Bjelica / Bagley / Bey
SF - Doncic / DFS / Green
SG - Hield / Hardaway / Hinton
PG - Brunson / Burke / Terry

Rather have him over WCS at this point if bought out. Looks like SA trying to trade him.

Would be a nice addition. But I bet if its a buyout he is going to one of the top teams or back to Portland.
He would be a good fit with either LA team. And I think there have been rumors he wanted to go back to Portland to finish his career.

I don't think the Spurs will trade him to the Mavs. If they buy him out, then he will sign a minimum contract with a contender because he would have no incentive to sign anything else. In this upcoming off-season, the Mavs will be able to pay him. The question is how much is a 36 year old LaMarcus Aldridge worth?

As he should be, but the last few games that he’s played in is the reason why Dallas shouldn’t just sell for 50 cents on the dollar. If there was somehow a Lavine +WCJ/Markkanen trade to be made with Porzingis and other pieces going back to Chicago, I say pull the trigger

Plus, Mark basically straight up saying they won't trade him or anyone else... But we'll see, trade deadline is soon.

I'm with you on exploring a KP trade, but not all with that package. You've criticized KP defense a lot, rightfully so, but Lavine and lauri are even worse. They're essentially Kevin martin and Charlie V, no way in hell should mavs touch that

Well Mark and everyone else in the Mavs FO have to say these things if they have any hope of preserving trade value or maintaining any leverage in possible discussions. You have to give off the impression that you are fine walking away with what you have... like going to a dealership to buy a new car.
Not saying that means anything... I don’t expect Porzingis to be moved this year of anytime soon for that matter, but honestly, if Cuban were to say anything else other than what he said, it would just be a poor negotiating strategy and you’d be left with a Detroit/Blake Griffin scenario where no one is about to give anything of value for a guy the team doesn’t even want

Not a chance he goes anywhere unless we get an offer we can't refuse (aka Beal). Cubes has been about as clear as he ever has been about it and there's no reason to not believe him. He doesn't exactly have a history of making false statements with such conviction.
