I'm about as anti-Drummond as possible, but I'd still take him way before I would take LMA at this point. Makes zero sense.

Should the Bulls be interested in him? What about Otto Porter Jr for Aldridge? Would the Spurs accept that?
I'd also look at DeRozan as well. Expiring deal as well
Porter Sato Felicio first for Derozan, Aldridge. Get a legit starting sf and center.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

I'd happily flip Otto for LMA. You're getting rid of a guy who can't stay on the floor for someone who can at least take the Kornet/Gafford minutes and more if necessary, given the Bulls' injury-prone bigs. Then maybe LMA sticks around on a smaller deal next year if the Bulls move on from Lauri. But obviously it's not a long-term move and I doubt LMA wants to just do the vet mentor role thing, so I'd be pretty shocked to see it actually happen.

I guess they could sell Bagley and play Barnes at the 4, but Bagley is much younger was a higher pick on a rookie scale contract etc..
Barnes, IMO, is on par with Lauri, but the biggest difference I see is his durability - gives you about 20 more games per year for probably less money.
Barnes is an upgrade and healthy. But sac fans seem to think hes worth more than one 1st.

Ok, then thrown them a second as well.
Otto, Gafford, 1st (top 10 protected) + 2nd for Barnes + Holmes works, correct?
Or Otto + 2 2nds or a lottery protected 1st and a 2nd for Barnes & Whiteside/any other expiring?
I've come to think that Barnes, while in vacuum not that great, actually makes a ton of sense if you don't view WCJ as the starter long-term and you want to give Lauri a try as a stretch 5 full-time. Then, you need huge wings next to Lauri to help with D, boards, etc. If they also happens to be 3/4 hybrids who can shoot 3s at a decent clip and move the ball some, all the better.
So, in essence, you're running with:
Zach / Sato
Coby /Sato / Temple
Paw / Temple / Barnes
Barnes / Thad
Lauri / Thad / WCJ /Anything you got from Sac
In these lineups, WCJ is the odd man out because he's the only non-shooter / non-playmaker on the floor. Yeah, good luck trying to double Zach all 4th when there's that much firepower on the floor and there's one of Thad or Barnes always on the floor to be the release valve for a double... with Lauri and PaW spotting up or cutting, and Coby spotting up. They'll have to gang rebound, but we have well-rebounding guards and Barnes/PaW are thick 3/4s.
If nothing else, when they have hot shooting nights... they'll have really hot shooting nights and be fun to watch.

That is a very surprising stat. But, have to remember that Lonzo is taking much easier 3's as a third option than anyone on that list though.

It works for me, although I question Lauri's future here. And of course sac might want more than scraps and expiring. Barnes is a solid player.

The problem with Lonzo this year has not been his % when he's choosing to shoot it--he's at career best. The problem is how often he chooses to do anything with it. You can argue he's playing out of position, Zion has been used as point-Zion lately, etc.
But the facts are--Lonzo gets 10% more touches per game than Zach and Coby (and 50% more than Bledsoe--Lonzo has been the de-facto point guard of the Pels, no matter what position he's listed as). Despite fewer touches, Zach scores twice as much as him and has the same amount of assists. Coby scores better than him and has the same amount of assists. My biggest beef with Coby, apart from his D, has been the fact that he's been used like a first option on O, but only produces like a 3rd.
In other words, just like Coby, Lonzo has had as many opportunities to do something productive as most first options. When you get the ball in your hands as much as Lonzo does, and you have multiple excellent scorers/shooters on the team next to you for your minutes, I would have expected much higher raw productivity from him. He's been like a rich-man, less aggressive Val per minute--you may argue that's a good player, but how much are you willing to give up for somebody like that who's about to be an RFA?
I'm the last person to be called a Coby-fan or apologist; I've been brutally straightforward in how much I dislike him getting entitlement minutes on a team that is fighting for a playoff spot, but I don't see the point of replacing Coby with another guy that needs 1st option usage but only produces like a 3rd option.
Will the D get better with a more experienced player like Lonzo replacing Coby? Sure. But again, what is it going to cost?

Agreed, that's how he's been improving by being more SG than PG. He's 83% assisted on 3s, that's very high for a PG who is loosely defined as the guy who is doing things off a live dribble. That's basically the same as Coby (80%), who most people agree looks better off the catch than on the dribble.
CP3 is 40% assisted, Kyrie 56% assisted, Kemba 47%, VanVleet 67%, Young 25%. Lavine as a SG is only 49% assisted.
I've always felt his style was more Hinrich, another big PG who wasn't great scoring on his own live dribble but was a great defender & great off-ball C&S outlet.
That being said he'd be great on this team, we need the defense and efficient scoring from someone not initialed Z.L. He's just not what most people want when they say we need a PG upgrade, someone who is making plays for himself & others and running the offense. The price for that kind of guy on a playoff caliber is going to be sky high.

We really need to get a distributing PG who defends well. Rubio would be fine...how much could he cost?

Thoughts on Rondo? He's in a tough spot in ATL, his contract is tradable and could be had for cheap. He just came off a great playoff run with the Lakers, and his BBIQ would be a nice addition to the team.

@RealQuintonMayo: Sources: The Washington Wizards have made third-year SF Troy Brown Jr. extremely available in trade talks ahead of the March 25 deadline.
“They’re showcasing him,” one source added.
I'm still a believer, would love to have him. Would Washington do Sato + 2nd rounder for TBJ + Ish Smith (smith)?
I'd also do Lauri for him and filler
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

Big fan of his game. It would be great if there is an opportunity for the Bulls to nab this kid.

What about:
Lauri/Val/Felicio for Brown/Bertans/RoLo? I don't think Bertans has been a great fit for them. I'd take on his deal if it meant getting Brown.
