Would you guys do that trade?

It just would never be offered. Washington won't water down their Beal return by attaching Westbrook's bad money. They'll get every red cent they can for him, and worry about Westbrook later, as his contract gets shorter.

Brown is a young, cost controlled all star who is well rounded and sophisticated. He is as good a fit for Washington as it comes IMO. Idk if there gonna find much better in terms of players coming back. Agree with Westbrook though no need to muddy it up.

It will be hilarious if, in a major deal, Ainge acquires a player who has never been discussed in this thread.

I can’t believe I haven’t made a WoS yet this season. Putting my foot down, and digging my heels in on this thread. Going for glory.

With that being said, here are my limits for rumoured (or possibly available) players:

Barnes - 1 pick, TPE, Langford or Nesmith
Gordon - TPE, 1 pick, Langford or Nesmith
Terrence Ross - Nesmith, TPE
Vucevic - TPE, Theis, 1 pick, 1 pick swap (or 2nd rounder)
Jerami Grant - TPE, 2 picks, pick swap, Nesmith
Thaddeus Young - Tristan Thompson, 2 2nd rounders
PJ Tucker - .....Jeff Teague, Green???....I’m not sure if I really want him. I dunno.
LMA - TPE, top 25 protected pick that turns into 2 2nd round picks
Kyle Lowry - Kemba, 1 first round pick, Nesmith (assuming we can get Lowry to agree that he’ll stay on a 2 year deal)

I remember being so mad whenever Rondo was traded. I was like Jameer Nelson and Brandan Wright are okay players but not worth Rondo and who the heck is this Jae Crowder fellow? Maybe Ainge has something like that up his sleeve again.

Yeah, that trade was underwhelming for Celtic fans.

What's worse is the pick Dallas gave the Celts turned into Yabusele.

Well, he did nothing last year, and hung onto Kyrie in 2019... He has to make a move this time...

I think that's a decent possibility. Of all the names being thrown about on here none of them really make us that much better (except Beal) and most would cost a lot. Like it or not we probably just have to wait for Tatum and Brown to mature just a bit more to have a real strong title shot (and other stars to regress due to age) so finding someone cheap that we get control over that will develop would be a win.

I think we are trading with Sacramento, Orlando or New Orleans.

Last season he had a good reason because the Celts had a good record heading into the trade deadline.

And in 2019, he was saving the assets for an Anthony Davis trade in the off-season.

This time around, he has no excuse.

I'll take max space and Brown and Tatum. Everything Ainge does must expire the same time as Kemba's contract in my opinion.

Going to be tough since 83% of the NBA has been discussed in the trade thread.

AD wasn't coming with no Kyrie.

I don't think there's a significant player in the league who hasn't been mentioned yet. :)

That said, there are very few teams I can imagine wanting Kemba at a fair price, the top one I can think of is Miami, and trading Kemba to Miami wouldn't feel like a betrayal.

True.

But Ainge was hoping Kyrie would change his mind and stay with Boston if Ainge could get AD in the off-season.
