Here are some trades that haven't been discussed:
1. Jaylen Brown to Golden State for Kelly Oubre, James Wiseman and a 2023 first round pick. Win later move.
2. TT and a first round pick pick to Dallas for Maxi Klieber. I love love to trade Kemba and a pick or two for the Zinger, but I can't see any Dallas interest in Kemba given that Doncic will have the ball most of the time. But I do like Maxi.
3. Langford and a first round pick to Cleveland for Jarrett Allen.

I'll take max space and Brown and Tatum. Everything Ainge does must expire the same time as Kemba's contract in my opinion.
I mean it won’t happen because he’s gonna meet parameters and extend so it’s ludicrous but just for fun - if you have beal and Tatum that’s 2/3rds of the Hanlen workout crew....the other? embiid
Stepping away from fantasy and into reality- if beal is better than brown, why would u wanna go into free agency with a lesser player to allure another free agent?
Brown's cheaper by a little bit than Beal so in terms of free agency that would be the advantage.
But if Danny didnt trade Brown for Harden just to trade him for Beal.. Im gonna have some questions lol

Stupid **** anyhow. That is the problem with deadline deals you have to make a critical call against an expiring clock. If anything I would think that if Ainge makes a significant deal it will be well in advance of the deadline because it is going to be complicated. By deadline day it is just panic moves.
I understand the lack of patience as fans but looking at the big picture unless it is a great trade that benefits the team beyond this season I would rather Ainge wait until the offseason. I want the right trade not just a trade for the sake of getting something done.

Not really....I mean I’d rather have harden but 1) beal stays 2) beals play style is way more adaptable 3) beal is way less maintenance 4) he’s 3 years younger and last but certainly not least and probably most important he’s best friends with our franchise player

Fair. But talent is talent and Harden's the better talent. I get you tho, it makes sense.

If they offer anything more than Carsen its an overpay. He's an end-of-the-bunch guy at best

Last season he had a good reason because the Celts had a good record heading into the trade deadline.
And in 2019, he was saving the assets for an Anthony Davis trade in the off-season.
This time around, he has no excuse.
He has a huge excuse. He has 28.5 mil TPE that can't use all of at this deadline because of the hardcap. One of his primary trade assets hasn't played a minute of basketball this season in Langford. This is a sellers market as so many teams are not in playoff hunt that they have little reason to feel like they have to get something for an expiring asset.
So much of this is about the other team. Overpaying to motivate someone to sell is bad business.

I will do #1 and #2 without thinking twice. Allen about to get paid and overlap with Timelord give me pause.

Personally, I'd rate Brown -> Beal over Brown -> Harden, by a pretty good margin. We know Beal and Tatum are best buds so giving them their own team together, seems like they'd stick around. Whereas Harden was a major flight risk. Players jump teams to get with the players they want to play with.
That's not me saying I'd necessarily jump at Brown -> Beal. Still thinking about it. But I no question could sleep with it easier than I could have Harden.
And, why is Washington doing this Beal trade anyway? Hasn't Beal pretty much expressed loyalty? Would Brown be more loyal to them? It doesn't make them better, it doesn't make them more of a draw, and it doesn't mitigate risk.

AD wasn't coming with no Kyrie.
True.
But Ainge was hoping Kyrie would change his mind and stay with Boston if Ainge could get AD in the off-season.
All of the crap with Kyrie started at the All Star game after the trade deadline.

Without brown sure. With him on the table he’s very realistic

What we know for sure:
-Ainge knows the team and roster won't cut it. He wants to make a deal(s).
-We've been injured and are probably better than we've shown.
-We are not good enough even at our best to beat the Nets or (probably) Philly.
-There are a number of factors working against us being able to make a deal: seller's market, cap considerations, the general stasis of the trade market compared to the summer when teams make themselves over.
-This team will look different come opening night in October.

This isn't getting weighted heavily enough.
I know getting a quarter from the finals then backsliding stings, but we're still nowhere near Tatum's prime. If we struggle along for a few more years, then land another superstar to pair with Prime Tatum, and start reeling the chips in when he's 27, then the rebuild was a massive success.
It's tough to tell a fanbase, "Sorry, I know you've been waiting since 2008, but I need you to be patient for a few more years." But the stakes here are huge. No titles in the next decade, one title then another long rebuild, or a dynasty. All are possible. Our GM has to think about this stuff.

I am just making this up figuring out the hardcap and taxes is going to be an issue. But Ainge could use the TPE to acquire Aldridge and flip him as the salary in a trade to DAL for the Porzingis. No idea what is going on in DAL their roster is crazy or what it would take for them to move Porzingis but it could at least work.

The FO has already said nothing will likely happen. Danny too. So I'm not going to have any high hopes. I'm really sick of waiting, and watching this team play like trash doesn't help.
We'll see what the off season holds. I'm already done with Ainge, but maybe he'll pull something off and hit a winner, ala the Fultz trade.
