To me, it looked like just a hyper-extended knee...Embiid should miss 2 weeks max.

Don’t think that changes their approach of trading vucevic nor do I think we’d overpay but they should obviously sell at the deadline but won’t
I don’t want to sound like a dick here and I genuinely hate injuries the most in sports. It robs the player, their family, fans just everyone.
Truly want to see the greats play (Like Embiid who is prob favourite to win MVP)
Now if his injury IS serious (again I really hope it isn’t) would that damper any C’s Interest in Vooch?
Yea, sucks if embiid is hurt. I actually like him a lot but I guess that answer really is are the Celtics really that interested to begin with ? Not that there’s not some interest but Orlando really operates counter to how they should -would the celts even wanna pay the massive haul that Orlando would ask for?
Beyond that answer which to me is a pretty easy no, to answer your question yea I think if embiid’s out long term god forbid, they would def pivot at least how much they’d actually give up for vooch
I don’t think Philly are the target to beat anyway, it’s clearly Brooklyn now in the East so we need to load up on defensive wings and shooters.

Sign Sullinger now. Sign Tyreke Evans next year when his ban is up. That should about do it.

The good thing about defensive wings and shooters is it also gives the Celts a better chance of beating the Sixers.
Finding someone who can stop Embiid is pointless because nobody can stop Embiid.

Still in camp #JeramiGrant.
Three two way wings on their prime. The mismatch is gonna be hella fun against anyone.

I just remembered on Horford's days we were clamoring for rebounding, now we got TT and I haven't really found much complaining on that department.
We're too spoiled, I think i'm in the minority that appreciates TT. I understand why we really want to unload him though so gotta go with the band on this one.

I'm with you. We FINALLY have a decent center rotation. It's been like 11 years. and before that what 20 years?
I wouldn't trade a center now unless its a clear no brainer of a trade or we have to for money reasons- ie Theis leaving anyways or needing TT's contract to avoid tax.

We really just need to develop Tacko into a championship-calibre big.

Troy Brown Jr - WAS
Michael Carter-Williams - ORL
Kevin Knox - NYK
Austin Rivers - NYK
Jake Layman - MIN
Grayson Allen - MEM
Danuel House - HOU
Rodney McGruder - DET
Josh Jackson - DET
Not an impressive list
House is pretty dang decent, would fit well here, but he will probably require a 1st and I'd prefer for us to go after somebody who will make more of an impact if we're trading 1st rounder(s).
Good assessment:

Stand pat then nail TT/Teague to the bench.
Kemba | Smart | Brown | Tatum | Theis
Pritchard | Nesmith | Langford | Grant | Rob
Everyone else can cheer from the sidelines.
EDIT: If we really can't avoid playing TT...
Kemba | Brown | Tatum | Theis | Timelord
Pritchard | Smart | Nesmith | Grant | Thompson

That team may fall in the first round of the playoffs. Currently, Nets, Sixers, Bucks and Heat are better than us. Our level is among Hornets, Knicks...

Fine by me if we step back this season. Might even be smarter to sit our top guys in some of the games. Play the kids. If we still make the playoffs, feature Kemba hard. I don't think we'll be able to use the FULL TPE in the offseason if Kemba is still on the books. We're talking about $160M between 12 guys. That's before re-signing Theis.

I like Diallo. If he can improve his shot he is going to be really, really good. Of course, we will see what kind of extension he gets...if it is moderate he is going to be a steal...

Trivia questions that I don't have the answer to:
• Which top three franchises have the Cs made trades with the last 10 seasons?
• Which three franchises do we rarely/never deal/trade with?

Right now it's #4 Miami vs. #5 Boston in the 1st round.
In the game where the Celts beat the Heat, earlier in the season, TT was able to contain Bam.
Theis is no match for Bam, we all saw that in the playoffs.
Maybe this time around RW3 is ready for Bam.
But I think if there's really no need to trade TT, Celts should keep him because he will be useful in the playoffs.

We traded with Cleveland at least twice. I have the feeling it's more.
We did S&Ts w/ Charlotte a couple of times recently.
I don't think we deal much with Miami, if at all, despite considerable flow of players between the two teams. Besides, much of that flow was more of a decade ago. (Has Riley ever badmouthed another rival exec the way he did Ainge?)
Teams I recall no deals with ever include (partial list) Bulls, Knicks, Jazz, Spurs, Pelicans, Rockets, Raptors. Of course, I could very easily be forgetting some deals.

CHA seems right. CLE for Zeller which later led to IT. Then Kyrie of course. And Memphis is another one, but I'm just guessing. Suns at least twice too (IT and Baynes).
We did deal with the Heat when we acquired Zoran Dragic and a 2nd? I think it was for cap/tax relief for Miami. Then we acquired Courtney Lee from HOU via S&T. Can't think of others from the teams you named.

Deals with the Suns include:
-- IT4 in
-- Baynes out
-- DJ in
-- Westphal out
Other important trading partners in the past:
-- Hawks (Bill Russell pick). Bonus: Trade that inspired the Gary Payton rule.
-- Whoever we got Bailey Howell from
-- Clippers (McAdoo in)
-- Pistons (McAdoo out; technically not a trade)
-- Warriors (Parish, McHale pick)
-- Kings (Ainge out)
-- Mavs (Walker out, Rondo out)
-- Sonics (Baker in, Ray Allen in)
-- Timberwolves (Garnett in)
-- Nets (duh)
-- Sixers (Tatum/Fultz picks)
Also, the Kenny Anderson/Billups trade was complicated.
