Pacers couldn't do us a solid and beat the Lakers. Let Kuzma go off.

The fLakers were lucky to squeak that one out. Very pedestrian looking w/o AD. Indy ought to be pissed and I bet comes out hard on this B2B game. They controlled LA most of the game, just couldn’t get the shot in when needed.

I’ll bet Sabonis is going to give us fits. I can see WeeAndre in early foul trouble (or just pined for C effort?) , and a
Sabonis Saric clone-ish clash.

This is a dangerous team. I’m hoping for another 4th Q wear down

Suns -7
o/u 223

I’ll take over 223... but lay off the 7.

McConnell is going to put up 13/5/4/7stl against us. That little dude is a fighter who wants to eat your soul.

Outta curiosity. Would anyone here trade Ayton for Turner and a 1st rd pick? I starting to worry about him alittle after he started the season strong defensively. If we really are contenders, then a legit defensively dependable big man whose still young fits in perfect. That extra pick can be used to find our CP3 understudy-which would let us possibly save some money on a Cam Payne extension this summer. Just throwing it out there....

His awful gamble late led to a key open Kuz corner 3.

Myles Turner is extremely overrated. Ayton is probably better today and he’s more than 2 years younger and makes half as much.

Turner
1. Fouls more
2. Assists less
3. Turns it over more (much worse passer)
4. Gets 5 rebounds per game.
5. Isn’t very good at perimeter defense (worse than DA).
6. Is worse at shooting
7. Is worse at finishing
8. Commands less attention on the roll

The only thing he is better at is jumping near the rim on defense (but to block only, not rebound).

Two unprotected firsts + Turner for Ayton is reasonable in a vacuum, but I wouldn’t do it. We are built to win. I want the much better basketball player (who is also much much younger and much less further along on his development curve).

He makes half as much now. This time next year he's gonna want a new (max) deal. Turner is locked up for 3 yrs. I don't like his rebounding numbers but he seems to try way more then DA. 2 years isn't that bad but I would be worried that a trade might finally wake DA up and make him the monster big man that he can be...it just wouldn't be in Phx.

Rebounds are a really good proxy for effort. Ayton is easily a more valuable asset today. If he ends up getting a max it will be closer to even value, but there’s something to be said for continuity and familiarity.

No, Turner is not that great, outside of blocking shots. He wants to be a stretch 5 but shoots 30% from deep. He shoots 48% from the field. He plays more minutes than Ayton but gets a little more than half as many boards.

He gets a little more than 6 boards a game. People call Ayton a weak rebounder for whatever reason if he has a low rebounding game or two but they would really hate Turner because that's kind of the norm. And he only has 19 dunks compared to Ayton's 56. Can you imagine the outrage at his play?

Fans are outraged for lots of irrational reasons, because it hurts their heads to think and they struggle to look beyond the box. It’s the same reason they likely struggled at school and work: limited imagination.

The most significant reason subbing Turner for Ayton would make us worse is that he has no rim gravity and our shooters would be crowded a lot more quickly than they are at present.

I wouldn't, I think Ayton is the better player.

I like Turner, he is a very good defender and he can score from the outside. He is having a down season from three, but he usually is OK from distance. Not a very good shooter, but good enough.

Defensively he alters a lot of shots. He is the best shothlocker in the league and it's not even close. But other than that he doesn't add too many positive things on the court, so Ayton is probably better at everything else and younger.

Some of the guys in this poll are not realistic or won't be bought out. One name that could potentially be bought out who would be a solid 3rd big is Dieng...solid defender, shot blocker, rebounder and is shooting 48% from 3 and has a 68% TS%. He's just been so vastly overpaid it has always just been a really bad contract.

Drummond leading this poll by a lot surprisingly. That is odd considering the Ayton hate and many of the people who knock Ayton compare him to Drummond. Now if Drummond was bought out, and we could just sign him for the minimum, that's an obvious good get, but he is basically just an elite rebounder. And he only has 38 dunks! Can you imagine having a C who only dunks like 60% as much as Ayton? Drummond can't defend the perimeter either....so he can easily be played off the floor...SVG hated it....people who don't like seeing Ayton get switched onto guards because the really good shifty ones like LaMelo and Harden take advantage, well, it would be very ugly with Drummond.

I seriously doubt he'd sign with us anyway, or that we'd want him.
