Man among boys today. Which is pretty damn impressive considering he can't legally drink yet.

RJ has been playing excellent basketball. What's more impressive is he doesn't get frustrated when he doesn't get the ball. He plays within the system...

Keep doing your thing Young Gun!!

Which is just honestly a stupid nickname even if I get the idea

Like, you don't hear people calling Ja "a" cause he can't shoot, that would be ridiculous.

it's easy to say "I told you so"

but for me the biggest improvement I saw during the early part of the season was how much better he was at the FT line. That signaled to me that he was more confident in his shot and was absolutely improving. Everyone knows his work ethic and his mentality to I was not too worried about his early season shooting slump because his FT shooting never really fell off when his 3pt shooting was at 30%.

I also do like the fact that he DID shy away from taking threes for about 2-3 weeks and didn't force up bad shots. He obviously worked on it and once he got more confidence he started shooting them more again.

Really as a rookie we already saw he was NBA ready in terms of his body. His ability to get down the lane, finish over defenders, hang and bang showed me that if he could ever fix his shooting he had an opportunity to put up Allstar level production. He's deadly in transition, deadly down the lane, and really he's just 5 plays a game away from being a 25ppg/5ast player IMO. I really hope he gets more responsibility soon for running the offense bc hes so good down the lane.

Kid is only 20. if you don't see the potential you are blind at this point:
Yeah RJ kept the Knicks close and then once IQ got in they were balling. Randle then really stepped it up in the 2nd half to stomp the will out of the Thunder. But Barrett def gets the game ball.

Knicks played the kids and lived with the results. The took what the lottery gave them. They gave this kid a lot of opportunity from day one.

Knicks did the right thing and it worked out.

Imagine that

This might be a weird comparison but...does anyone else see a little Chris Paul in his game?

I'm just saying. He's not as good as Tatum, but it's a legitimate conversation. He's at least as good as Ingram was his 2nd year, and he's arguably closer to Tatum than people say.
