Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
I am more convinced than ever that job #1 is about getting a second star. Not that they'd trade him, but I'd do everything possible to get Grant from DET, including including one of PWill or our unprotected 1st (which now looks attractive - I'd try for top 5 protected if possible). I'd throw, White, Markkanen and Carter out there as the base.

Yea we are at this point where this roster as it stands has done about as good as its going to do. It's time for a consolidation trade. Haul most of the mess that garpax left out of here and start getting new looks at each position

Not sure what I'd be willing to give up, but I think it's clear we really need to make some sort of consolidation trade this season if we want to maximize our assets.

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
I am ready to move on from Carter just because he needs to be either an elite backup or a 4 with a floor spacing 5. I think you could probably get a mid to late 1st rounder possibly. Some teams I think he could do well that also need him.
1) Celtics
2) Raptors
3) Nuggets with Jokic
4) Nets
5) Clippers
I am intrigued by Lauri with a true point and a real big man like Drummond. However I dont know if likely. I think these could be win trades for both teams.
1) Suns - He went to school at Arizone and friends with Ayton. Paired with that roster would be good for them. Could we land Jalen Smith and Cameron Johnson for him. Smith is not aying much there but his size, 3 point shot, and shot blocking intrigue me as a stretch 4. Johnson is a solid shooter off bench.
2) Pacers and filler for Myles Turner? Turner is a stretch 5, good defender but does not mesh well w Sabonis. Lauri would fit well w Sabonis and Pacers ball movement while we get our defensive big man.
3) Some mid 1st rounder luke a team such as Warriors for their pick. My least favorite option but he could provide the shooting they need as they can use Draymond as small ball 5 or Wiseman paired w Lauri.
Just my thoughts.

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
The only keepers imo is lavine and Patrick Williams (but he on a leash) and I still think there is something there for coby if he can get back in his natural role as scoring combo guard. But I'm not mad at moving on from him for the right piece
Cool with keeping young and temple as well.
Rest of these guys can find a new home. Lauri can score but offers not much else and a guy we would quickly regret keeping long term is written all over lauri. A player who regressed and can't stay healthy after they get their money is all over lauri
I dont see much more coming from Carter jr. In fact I'm fearing he will be out the league in a few years
Porter jr is just.......done
Not much their with Sato or Denzel either. They a lot more miss than hit and don't seem to be elite at anything we could replace them with g league players and wouldn't miss much
Kornet and gafford also look like candidates for over seas players soon.
So outside of lavine coby pwill temple and young we can haul all the rest these guys outta here.

Repeat 3-peat wrote:Thoughts on Rondo? He's in a tough spot in ATL, his contract is tradable and could be had for cheap. He just came off a great playoff run with the Lakers, and his BBIQ would be a nice addition to the team.
The ATL thinking is hard to gauge so you don't know what they want to end up with
If Dunn ever comes back (boy I called that for the ATL board when they signed him) he pairs great next to Young. They have Goodwin so they don't need Rondo. Straight up for Satoransky gives them someone who can play next to Young or back him up. The irony would be the Hawks having 2 former Bulls guards and trading one for another.
Again what does ATL want to end up with. They have Collins, Galanari, Hunter, Reddish, Bogdanovic, Huerter and Snell is still around to play 3 posiions. If they think they could get someone for Collins they still have an overload. Would they expand the Rondo/Satoransky deal to trade anyone of those guys, except Snell, for Markkanen and an expiring Felicio to clear some cap space?

Two seperate trades with Celtics ( as mutual favour). Otto Porter Jr. for tpe, Javonte Green, Carsen Edwards, Jeff Teague and second round pick. Second trade T.Young and Carter for Thompson,Nesmith and Boston frp 2021. Boston would have Kemba Walker Smart Brown Tatum Robert Williams.Pritchard Langford Porter/Ojele Young/G.Williams Carter/Theiss. Bulls White Lavine P.Williams Markkanen T.Thompson. Satoransky/Teague Nesmith/Valentine Temple/Hutchinson Kornet Gafford. And chance to develope Edwards in gleague. But real reason Bulls pulls the trriger adittional frp in 2021 draft, Nesmith potential as 3d player and srp as small award with having proven center in Thompson for playoff push.

Guys, have you actually watched Rondo this year???
Arci is an all star when compared to him.

Glad someone agrees it makes sense to aggressively pursue Grant, too bad it isn't the Bulls.

I don't know what a couple of mid to late first round picks would do for Detroit, but it's a good idea for Boston to go after him.
What do you think the Bulls should offer for Grant?

Didn't see this coming...
Not saying it means all that much, or a reason to do anything, just some surprising data. So no trolling please.

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
If we can't pull off a major trade with New Orleans maybe they would accept "cash considerations" for one of their 3 Second Round picks. They can't possibly want to add 3 developmental level rookies at one time. I'd love to Draft Hukporti to stash in Europe for a few years. And still add Isaiah Todd for our bench to develop now.

Love to trade Carter to 76ers for there TPE
Then Bulls trade a 2nd for Thybulle.
76ers get a young backup center Bulls get a wing stopper they can develop. Also saves the Bulls money, so more caproom for FA

I think Bradley showed he's better than Carter. Sorry to say, Carter's trade value has dropped to a second round pick.

He's looking better tonight coming off the bench. Maybe that's his best role going forward.

I see Celts are attached to PF trades, offering picks. We should be all over that with Lauri, then package that pick with our pick to go after a stud like Grant or Wood.

Reports are that Houston considers Wood untouchable
