This is posturing. Everyone is doing it and will continue to do it until the morning of March 25th. Just the way it works

Man what is this team's direction? We're trading Theis, then Thompson, trying to get Barnes, Collins?

Are we going for it? Are we selling?

Or...are we standing pat? Like usual

The Hawks could play chicken with him. They’re not in cap hell so they could overpay him for one season, then trade him later where they’d get more value for him due to years left on his deal.

I don’t blame him. Sounds like others do too. But again, he’s getting leftover scraps on the Celtics. Tatum/Brown/Kemba all ahead of him in the pecking order here. That dude will be lucky to get the same amount of FGA here than what he’s getting in Atlanta?

If they get Collins, Kemba will be dumped in the off-season.

Yah, we cant have 4 max guys

We wouldnt unless Klutch specifically wanted it.

Putting Kemba in the 6th man role would kill any bit of trade value he has left. No one is trading for a bench player making $37 million per year. Celtics are stuck with Kemba as their starting PG.

Eh, moving Horford only cost 1 first. Netted them Green too. And Horford was a bench guy.

He’s gonna get that between Dallas, New York, Atlanta, somewhere else is gonna pay him

So there is zero point in trading for the guy now. We can't afford to give up a bunch of assets for a guy and then have him walk in a few months.

My point was if you do that trade you do so knowing what it’s gonna cost to pay him and bring him back and are ok with it

I like barnes the most for for and picks.

I also like TT gone for anything really.

Collins for the right asset cost is good. I thin a team of

Smart
Jb
Jt
Collins
Timelord

Can grow up together and be fun to watch.

Not sure what Clippers can offer Thunder at this point, but George Hill is gonna be great for them. Hill and PG had those ECF runs in Indy before. It would also be hard to pull off without losing a key guy due to hard cap.

B-Robb shot down the idea of Thompson being moved to Toronto, FWIW. Just on an asset standpoint.

Obviously didn't rule him out being moved though

He was talking about it from a one on one Celtics-Raptors trade standpoint. I think Toronto makes sense as a destination if we need to find a home for Tristan Thompson because we need his salary to go out in a trade.

Why would it mean clutch is saying it?

Because Haynes has printed whatever Klutch has wanted printed in exchange for scoops for years

I had no idea. Makes sense.

Honestly, I don't mind TT, just not anywhere near 10 mils a year. If we can trade him and get Baynes back it wouldn't be too bad. I know baynes has sucked. What is his salary and how many years does he have?

Thompson is one of the worst players on the team along with Grant Williams. Addition by subtraction.

Collins is a young stud on the same timeline as the Jays. Baynes is essentially a stiff at this point and in no position to demand any playing time. He's be a great third string.

Rockets, Mavericks, Nuggets, Warriors, Wolves and Blazers interested in Aaron Gordon

Acquiring him now would also allow Gordon’s new team to evaluate him closely before he becomes a free agent in 2022. That’s likely why the Rockets, Mavericks, Nuggets and Warriors all remain interested. With Denver, sources said its package would center around Bol Bol, yet there’s an apparent hesitation from the Nuggets front office about having to potentially pay both Gordon and Michael Porter Jr. next summer. For Dallas, Dwight Powell has been rumored among league personnel as the centerpiece in any deal. – via Jake Fischer @ Bleacher Report

Bol Bol and Dwight useless Powell?

We can beat these offers with ease.
