Dirk revolutionized a position and a lot of people think he was never a top two player either. Theres an argument that he wasnt the best player in 2016 thats reasonable after his scoring average and efficency fell in the playoffs the way it did. who else? Mike Dantoni hasnt even made the finals and has never been a top two coach and he undeniably changed the game. Stan in Orlando too. KD is an undeniably all time great player but overrated when people suggest he's undeniably second to LeBron. He's played with MVPs most of his prime and in 2 of the 3 cases they've looked more valuable to the team. In the 1 case KD looked better he left that team for free and that team still was a 6th seed in the West. When Harden, LeBron, Curry are out their team folds like origami.

You could argue KD has been the second best player of his generation because of his unstoppable scoring even in the playoffs. You can argue it. But it isn't an undeniable truth at all, there is some strong or even stronger arguments against it.
