I am interested in Lonzo, but in free agency. Not sure it is worth trading assets to get him.

Got to max him out at this point if you want him via FA.

IDK if you need to max him (although his max is probably in the mid 20's) but I feel better spending the money on him than I do Lauri. That said, I would feel better keeping Lauri, if we also nabbed Lonzo.

I would easily max him out, and put New Orleans in much financial pain if they match. No need to give up a first rounder for his restricted right. Some team will give him close to the max this summer.

Should be around $125M over 4, assuming it's not the team with bird rights. About $31M per.

He'd be a great fit for this version of the Bulls for sure. But that's a lot for Lonzo. :o

in march lonzo is putting up a 13/5/4 line in 30 mpg on a 53% true shooting percentage. this is comfortably his second-best month of the season

Giving lonzo the max would make me hesitate. Maybe 25/yr at most

he's a solid spot-up shooter who's a good passer but a non-threat in every other facet of the offensive game. he's denzel valentine with defense.

Does that good defence come with a little better IQ? Because if so that's not a bad deal haha

yeah i want to be clear i think lonzo is a useful role player and would be happy to have him on the bulls at the right price. just want to remind people that he has a role player ceiling, even coming off an atypically hot month

He’s 23 and already a good starting pg. it’s incorrect to say that he has role player ceiling. The only thing that will stop him from being a star is his jumper which is consistently improving year by year. His defense ball handling vision and size are elite for his position. Yes I would max him out without hesitation and that’s honestly the only way for the Pelicans not to match.

Lonzo will get the max either from the Bulls or someone else.

not sure why ball is getting compared to denzel when kidd was always his comp.
denzel is also similar type except his career is half done due to injuries the only way he becomes great is if resigns a long term cheap deal like otto should. I would say suggs is an improved version of ball so getting him in rfa is good value.

If the Bulls cannot attain at 4/100, they can grab a bigger athletic version in AG from Magic for a flier. You need those multi-dimensional that can playmake and defend multiple positions.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

As always, just a terrible idea. The Bulls only have so much money. Giving a huge chunk of it to Lauri and then another big chunk of it to Lonzo pretty much uses up all the cash on a pretty limited team.

In general, I'm a big Zion fan and I watch the Pels from time to time. Their offense has been great but it has nothing to do with Lonzo. They are even taking ballhandling responsibilities away from him (partially) and it has helped the offense. Most of what Lonzo gets is just from feeding off their big guns, like Zion.

Sato is an outright better PG. Better shooter, better passer, moves better off ball.

Was gonna say same. How much would a "defense infusion" cost with Val? $20M/year sounds right for that procedure.
