Felt the need to bring up McGee again...feels like he could be had for cheap. Would be a very solid stopgap with a lot of experience. Randomly tuned into the Cavs tonight and he would be such a clear upgrade from Biz it's absurd. It'll be easier to find our solution at C in the offseason.

You really think Bamba would cost that much? I'm not convinced he doesn't just actually suck, but I'm obviously open to the possibility that Clifford is just being a dick towards him. Still seems high to me.
I don't think he's worth that but rarely do teams give up on high lottery picks in their 2nd year. It looks bad to dump the guy they took 6th for a couple of seconds.
Bamba is in his 3rd year. Played in 130 NBA games already with a career high of 15 pts. He might not even be worth two seconds at this point.
I guess the Magic could say they aren't trading him for anything less than 3 firsts, but that doesn't mean that's what he is worth. Have a hard time imagining any team even giving up a late first for him.
He is probably at best a trade kicker at this point, doubt he is worth much on his own.

Re: Fake Trade Thread #3
Marvin Bagley is the guy that still interests me. Just turned 22, has good size, can finish on the interior quick with explosion and a fluid athlete who should be able to switch pnr... However, his defense sucks at this point. I think a change of scenery and a fun player like Melo could get the most out of him. Have watched some Kings games lately and they actually play him at the 5 a lot, with him and Holmes staggering on the court after the initial 5 mins of each half of playing together.
Kings are probably going to want a lot for him because he is a former #2 pick, but apparently they are struggling to find a "fair deal". Wouldn't be the "rim protector" that we want, but offensively he is a huge improvement and gives us a guy who can punish teams if they play small vs us.

Yes, and I still think Bagley is going to break out somewhere if he is moved. I'm just worried about asking price. He definitely needs to get away from Luke Walton

The deal would likely be Bagley for Miles or Monk straight up. Would you trade either of them for Bagley?

Much like I said about Bagley, I believe Bamba needs away from Clifford and a change of scenery. Surely Cliff would like the hustle of a Martin or two

Considering how terrible Clifford was developing players here I don't know why we'd assume Bamba is a lost cause.

Miles in a heartbeat.
But Bagley's family being worse than Lavar is something I never expected

Bagley and his Dad want out of Sacramento badly, I don't blame them.

Assuming the Knicks get Drummond, would anyone trade Graham for Mitchell Robinson?

i mean yeah i wouldn't think twice but i don't even think mitch is that good tbh.... i think knicks fans/media somehow convinced everyone in the league that he was their high value asset in waiting but for a guy with all the minutes he could want, an entire franchise behind him, and no competition to speak of - you'd kinda expect him to improve a lot more than he has

Agreed, and the fact that they want to pursue Drummond tells you that they are also not sold on Mitchell longterm

The lack of progression from him is definitely concerning. He isn't able to do much on offense other than lobs and putbacks, but to his credit (unlike Drummond) he plays within his skillset and would be a massive upgrade on defense. He's also had crap players at point since he was drafted, so I have some hope he'd look better playing on this team.

That's it for me too, lack of progression, lack of increased production even with increase in minutes, terrible free throw shooter. I'm willing to take a chance just like I am with Bamba or Hayes

If we are within a game of the top four at the trade deadline I'd be interested

After tonight, can we please agree to not putting Rozier in trade proposals? How many more times does he need to show he’s clutch AF and our leader?!

Agree, even if somewhat reluctantly. After last season I thought Rozier was a guy with talent who wouldn’t ultimately mesh into a productive team player. This year he shows how well he can blend, play hard but more within himself and the game, while still being so clutch. He has flaws but short of a significant proposal (still open to that for a really good 5) I’m a holder on Terry.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Also agree. This is a case of a player probably playing above his pay, and the salary gets better next season if memory serves. With so many teams thinking playoffs, I don't expect any more major moves. If the Hornets do make a trade, it'll likely be a minor one.

Re: Fake Trade Thread #3
I'm usually a proponent of being patient and waiting for the right opportunity, but man we are in striking distance of the 4/5 seed. I don't want to sacrifice the future just to get a tiny bit better, but the temptation is strong.
