There haven't been any deadline deals yet. With the new play-in games, teams are still in the hunt and will wait last minute.

We’ll find out what direction Masai wants to go at trade deadline. If we are to tank, we got the death lineup ready to go, if not expect a trade for a center to stay competitive. Until then we should all just sit tight. Evaluating in progress.

We didn't add at the 2019/2020 season trade deadline when we looked strong enough for another finals appearance, why would people expect Masai/Bobby add any significant piece this trade deadline, when our team is decimated by covid and below 0.500?

You hear nothing about them, they haven’t even made a statement on the position and direction of our team. This season has be losing huge respect for Masai.

When you go back through history, Kyle is responsible for our chip. Not Masai

Masai traded Kyle to NY
Kyle made the organization keep rookie FVV
Kyle forced Masai to trade for Ibaka, when Masai wanted to “stand Pat”
Kyle and Kawhi pushed for a Marc Gasol type trade

Bobby made the kawhi trade. Just a brief history of details people may have forgot

Truth is, all Masai ever wants to do is evaluate and say nothing, unless he’s positive he’s ripping someone off.

lol pls stop troll

Which of the facts I mentioned are trolling? Research all the known details on those transactions. Ibaka was the first trade ever that Lowry demanded the team make. And fact FVV didn’t get cut because of Kyle.

All of them?

The part about Lowry demanding the Ibaka trade is made up.
The part about FVV getting cut unless Kyle stepped in is made up.
The part about Kyle pushing for Gasol is made up.

If anything, you completely disregard Kyle's come-to-Jesus moment, which Masai ACTUALLY was responsible for when he challenged Kyle to be a leader and whether he wanted "to be a $2M player, or a $10M+ player.

Please, take your fiction to another forum. Most people here are actual fans and know better.

As a manager of a NBA team it must be hard to keep fans happy and improve every year.

They'll say this year was tough. Played out of a hotel, protocol, uncertainty, etc.

Next season the record is better. Label that on organic growth. Get hopeful for playoffs. Everyone keeps their jobs.

It makes sense from a contention point of view. I would argue that Cade turns us into a contender.

He's a big two guard. That and a playmaking defensive center is exactly what we're missing.

I can't honestly see Cade being more than a coping mechanism. Everyone wants Cade and whoever wins that lottery isn't going to trade it for all the goodies in the world.

What was our weakness that needed addressing last season? Raps had the second best record in the league and swept the team that ended up being champion. We even beat the Heat in the bubble. Did the Cs beat us because they traded for a player at the deadline?

The part where you said Kyle was responsible for resigning Vanvleet, trading for Ibaka and the Gasol trade...please provide evidence/sources that these moves were because of Kyle.

Was Kyle responsible for the Bargnani trade?

Was Kyle responsible for the Gay trade?

Was Kyle responsible for drafting Siakam, Norm, Delon and finding gems like Fred and TD undrafted?

lol why are you even asking? There are no sources because this is all nonsense he's making up. Masai pulled the strings on every move (even the Leonard one - as its been reported it wasn't just bobby and the spurs connection, it was masai and buford going 'at it' during negotiations.

We lacked a half-court offense creator / ISO scorer - aka a "Kawhi"- last season. This became evident in the boston series.

I certainly acknowledge that Masai and Bobby are in a brutally critical year in having to figure out what to do with Lowry and Norm. But I'm unforgiving when it comes to the neglect of small harmless transactions that could be helping the team have more balance right now.

The closest thing we have to that was Grange having reported a Masai "We’ll be okay" text message, following Serge Ibaka's unexpected signing with the Clippers.

Well then, OK I guess? :dontknow:

Imagine telegraphing your intentions to rival teams and potential negotiating partners so clearly.

I hope Masai and Bobby keep pissing off casual fans.

It's not the discretion but the tardiness that is getting to me. We've had a clearly identifiable and crippling weakness from the start of the season and I'm unconvinced that waiting until the deadline to fix it is the best course of action.

Interesting.

Not at all. They are who we know they are. I don't think any Raptors fan would want any other team's front office instead. All this thread is saying, is that I have no damn clue why they haven't balanced and improved the roster this late into the season with harmless transactions, as others teams have, successfully.

I'm sure they have a reason. So in effect, I'm the bumbling clown that can't figure out their plan.

This is a what have you done for me lately league and rightfully so.

Regardless of your FO evaluation, you have to admit that it has been a while since the team has improved by addition.

Yeah if the Lakers were missing AD, Harrell and Schroeder, I don't think they would be winning many games either

The argument that they have X, Y, and Z, should make it less likely, not more, that they go out and balance their roster with, and start, a 10-day contract guy.

It's been a wild season but it's hard to give them a pass for starting the season with Alex Len and Aaron Baynes. They really **** up. I hope they either trade Kyle for picks/prospects or acquire a big-name and push for a deep playoff run.

Staying put would be the worst thing they can do.

This.

Also, didn't we sign Donta Hall to a 10-Day contract? That's something, right?
