Re: General Boston Sports Thread, Phase 2
Wow Bourne and agholor, like Bourne more forsure but both are solid 2-3 receivers added to jacoby as well. Offense is coming together quietly loving this.
There’s a chance that jones, fields or lance just falls into our lap at 15 only 2-3 teams that are sure to take a qb before us. Wouldn’t take much to move from 15 to like say 12 either we have a lot of mid round picks.

Re: General Boston Sports Thread, Phase 2
Who evaluates WR’s in New England? Were they priced out of Golloday or Samuel? Are they going to get Waddle or Smith in the draft? I just don’t get it lol...
But I’ll play along because the rest of the day was FROCKEN AwESoME!!!
Jonnu will be solid. Judon is a beast (our LBs wow!), and I really like Mills and the big boy from Miami.

Do you know someone or are you just guessing?
I said since last season I wanted them to resign Cam and draft Fields. Or Lance, his pro day was a fun watch.

Agholor is awful, what a weird signing. This team straight up sucks at identifying WR talent. It's so bizarre.
A go route guy with drop issues paired with a QB who can't throw the ball past the first level of the defense. I guess if Edelman is gone, they need another WR who can't catch the ball in his place.

FWIW agholor isn’t horrible he is good after the catch(when he holds on) and has improved somewhat with the dropsies. He’ll be a solid #3 and decent at screens and slants.
Kendrick Bourne I low key love tho, some mild injury concerns, but he’s good.

I like the moves today. I can’t really speak to a lot of the players we got except the two big signings which I really like. Sucks to lose Thuney though.

Re: General Boston Sports Thread, Phase 2
I wouldn't mind for the Pats to go after a defender at #15 either. Best pass rusher available. The secondary is dang good and just got a boost. Get another guy to bring the heat and I think the defense will give anybody a run for their money.
As for the offense I like all the signings, tbh, especially the TE. I'm expecting Daltong Keane to step up this year, but it's good that they got a legit redzone threat in Jonnu.
I know people are down on Newton, but imo even with this lousy ass squad, they would've made the wildcard if Cam didn't miss two weeks. They also had 2-3 really close games, which they weren't able to pull out.

Well, maybe the two rookies tight ends are actually duds then.

Seems so. I had decent expectations for Keane, tbh. Assiasi was deemed to not be that good by every analyst out there.
Bill paying over 10 mils to 2 TEs basically means that he doesn't like what the former rookies have to offer.

Or, he just didn’t want to pass up the top two tight ends on the market. Keene is more of an h back, and this takes some pressure off of him and Asiasi, but the 3rd tight end still gets real playing time.

Congrats on finding the negative take here -- you should apply for a job at WEEI.
