Trade for KAT already. For his mental health.

Who’s ready for a fresh round of old rehashed speculative rumors today? 9 days left until the trade deadline!

Why not just little trades
Theis, Green and Edwards to Washington for Bryant and Brown Jr.
Bryant is out for the season so an opportunity to but low. A risk indeed but he has only 1 year on contract after this season. If he heals up good he will be an excellent center for the team. Brown Jr has fallen out of rotation but is only 21 and has shown he is a capable NBA player.
Semi to Houston for House and Tucker.
Add a couple of good shooting bench players. Tucker brings vet mentorship and can teach Grant how to properly play as an undersized PF
Kemba/Pritchard/Teague
Smart/Brown/Romeo
Brown/House/Nesmith
Tatum/Tucker/GrantW
Thompson/Timelord/Bryant

On a side note. All for dumping Theis and rolling with TT and Timelord. Would be interested in seeing Ball in Green.

I won’t hate it.
I won't either, the only move that I really am all that into is Barnes and that's partly because his contract his really good compared to his production and descends for the next two seasons, his value as a trade asset will at minimum hold or go up and he's a solid all around player if we keep him. Even that move I'm only excited about if it's a good deal for the C's, and I really don't see that happening.
The thought of a Smart, Brown, Tatum, Barnes, and Timelord starting line-up with Kemba as a super sub does make me smile though.

Theis is also a playoff liability. I'm over seeing another wide open three being bricked by this guy over and over. I'm over seeing him being absolutely abused by bigger and more athletic skilled centers.
The move is to at minimum move one even possibly both and trade for upgrades to back up Rob. Among my worst fears is pastor Brad reverting back to playing his binkie Theis and sitting Rob because of "matchups".
Stop the madness they won't be missed.
You stop the madness.
I'm too lazy to look it up but TT must be leading the team in rebounds. He can score a little bit with no plays called for him just getting put backs and that little hook shot.
This idea that we could just get rid of these guys and be fine is beyond silly. I feel like some of you think its so simple, just get rid of Theis and TT and play Rob the whole game, and Brads a fool for not seeing it. I don't think its Brad who is the fool.

Daniel Theis's on/off numbers on defense have been excellent the past 3 seasons, which includes one full season as a backup and 1.5 seasons as a starter on ever-changing lineups. Robert Williams, for what it's worth based on his limited minutes, have awful on/off defensive numbers (good to elite offensive numbers). If Timelord is a top 5 center in the league playing against backups, why don't the on/off numbers reflect his impact? Maybe it's not quite time to trade away veteran centers and hand the keys to Timelord who can't play 20+ minutes a game anyway.

Like, should probably even wait until the next one to him him his full due. In the meantime, "Everyone on the board debates Fierce1" also a solid choice.
Yeah, that's the one! I was thinking the same about giving the full 100 pages, but we can always give it a full 150+ if we get to 15.
I don't want to encourage Fierce1 any more than necessary...
I never really dug on Linkin Park's emo/nu-metal stylings, so I definitely am sick of being reminded of that song.
Though you don't necessarily want to blow your wad on the next thread title too early, considering we are definitely getting in at least two more 100 page trade threads before the deadline. Possibly more than two with the way Fierce1 posts.
I agree with everything you just posted part of me wants Ainge to hurry up and make a move and another part of me is so used to this that I've become numb to it...
I've become so numb
I can feel Ainge there (sitting in his office not making a trade)
Become so tired
So much more aware (of the likelihood of no trades)

Only reason why there's a possibility Theis gets traded is because he becomes a free-agent at the end of the season.
If Theis has a contract similar to what TT has right now, I'm all for keeping Theis.
But you never know what happens in free-agency.
Last year it was unthinkable that Gordon Hayward would walk away from 34m.
The economy is bad and there's a pandemic going, but Hayward walked away from 34m and a team was crazy enough to offer him 30m per year for 4 years guaranteed!

He may already be vulnerable and might not survive another ******. Wyc's endorsement be damned.
Acting like Ainge is some terrible GM that deserves to be fired or might be on the hot seat somehow is complete clown talk.
My point is that he's not the end all.
Shouldn't he pay for his mistakes?

I don't believe it either.

Only way to make Ainge pay for his mistakes is to boycott the Celtics.
Make the Celtics feel their mistakes by going after their bottom line.
When the team is not making money because fans are not paying to watch Celtic games, the owners will make changes.

I’m not sure what you guys are smoking. The Celtics have had a fair amount of success in recent years. They are 5th in the east right now and are trending upward.
There is a spectrum between crushing it and getting fired. Is he crushing it? No. But Ainge is not anywhere near the “getting fired” part of the spectrum. Generally you get fired when you have a sustained period of underperformance with a bum outlook. Perhaps if we remain only slightly above average for a few more years Wyc will get impatient, but at present, I don’t believe that to be the case.
Of course but if he can't fix his mess he should step aside no? Miami just made the finals over us. We're tied with the Knicks. Rozier and Hayward killing it. Where's the pride. Where's the change. Where's the effort.

Theis and TT are not solutions so if you can't see that I can't help you, you suck at basketball and I won't waste my time explaining. They are JAGS, and will get exploited in the playoffs.
I'm not for any major trades, Barnes is totally fine assuming the cost is not some overpay. Lose one of these bums at center find an upgrade for Rob insurance. Rob is the future.

What mess? We've got one of the best young cores in the league and they've already got a ton of playoff experience. This season has been all over the place but as far as I know Ainge didn't cause covid which completely killed the off-season and he didn't injure anyone on the team keeping our expected team from playing together. Other than a couple teams at the top and a couple at the bottom the whole league is all over the map right now.

Lol at anyone who thought that Hayward was going to opt in. The absolute worst case scenario for Hayward was him securing a 4 year, $80 million deal from the Celtics. It was a no-brainer for him to opt out, rather than play one more year at $34 million and risk a career ending injury.
