As an outsider looking in, it’s easy to poke fun at Orlando, as seen in this thread. I’d like to offer a different perspective...
Fultz, despite his injury history and slow development was looking like he finally turned the corner before going down. Yes, he’s injury prone. Yes, he hasn’t lived up to being a #1 pick. Yes, his shot is still very much a work in progress. BUT, the guy is just 22 years old and is locked in for the next three years at ONLY $16m per year (Andrew Wiggins contract is almost twice that per year).
As for Isaac, regardless of injuries, is still someone who has GM’s drooling. Another young (25) “potential” who is locked into a reasonable contract ($17m per) would be a welcome addition to any roster. He has the ability to be an impact two-way player while playing a fluid forward position(s).
We’re talking Orlando here, not LA or another prime FA destination. Holding onto Fultz, Isaac, and Vucevic as a core three moving forward is not only promising, but necessary.
