Kemba was ok. If the Jays are gonna each get 30 Kemba gets 16. We don’t have the shooting .

Game was lost but.

1. Gave up 19 3s.
2. Gave up 40 pts in Theis
3. After Rob Williams, bench had 7 pts.
4 refs scored 60pts in paint and had 4 free throws?

Kemba was not okay, his defense handicaps the entire team. And he isn’t consistently making shots, or looking for other guys.

Kemba is ok. Not great. He doesn’t have the ball to find guys.

Kemba dribbles. Then passes, and never gets it back.


His looks were terrible. The ball isn’t in his hands and we don’t move the ball. This isn’t a Kemba issue. We don’t have any Spacing.

If this is a Kemba sucks thread ya’ll got problems. This is a roster issue. Our ball movement sucks. As does our defense.

Kemba isn't as good as he used to be and at this time is a net negative.

That's not the only issue. Only one of many. Roster composition is the biggest and imo kemba is a part of that problem too. He's a shoot first pg with 2 really good scorers that need the ball..not a great fit.

Preaching to the choir

I know the big named moves are the ones everyone wants to talk about. But ya a Jordan Clarkson kind of player move (obviously not him) could be a huge boost as well.

But ya watching that bench, there is just no kick from it. I think its a lot of quality guys, but its a bunch of guys that dont look for offense.

and so the two Jays try to takeover because they know they have no help and get accused of being selfish.

It’s a no win situation

The ball sticks to them. But they have no one else to pass to. The skill level is very low on this team .

Sure. Like gordo sucked. Problem is the skill of everyone else. Kemba would be fine if he dominated the ball. The team would suck though. Our offense is so bad that we rely on Brown and a Tatum to just finish and create. This is ridiculous. It isn’t Kemba. It isn’t the Jays .

It is everyone else. They try, but it isn’t natural.

And Kemba gave up 40 points in 4th?

I was one of the Hayward fans, he didn’t suck.

Kemba wouldn’t be fine if he dominated the ball, because he can’t score efficiently. And on top of that, he is one of the worst defensive players in the league.

maybe but Stevens gets a BIG assist at minimum.

We've had this argument but did you see the graphic. 4th most lineups on the 4th youngest team in nba. Our roster is awful man. We have 7 legit nba players and 3 are centers. Meanwhile everyone in the league has guards. I have questions on some decisions and rotations at times but this team is playing at their level. I predicted 5th or 6th season pre season mainly stating not enough playmakers and such a limited roster.

THERE IS NO WAY BRAD STEVENS DIDN'T HAVE MAJOR INFLUENCE ON THIS ROSTER WHEN SELCTING PLAYERS.

The roster sucks, YES and Ainge has the final call, yes. But both GM and coach sit/talk /meet and discuss every player ever to put on Celtic green since Stevens was hired. Ainge and Stevens are still suffering PTSD from their locker room horror **** show in 2018-19. Since then Celtics have acquired safe non talented try hards who may not rock the BOAT but can't play. as well as drafted smallish players more than any team in the NBA. Ainge didn't pick them without Stevens' approval. No chance, a Coach and GM must work together and go with what the coach will think works.

Quoting Bill Parcells, "you can't expect me to cook in the kitchen and not shop for the groceries".

This is as obvious as anything I have ever seen.

But to further prove my point, if we agree this roster is azz, the why does Brad Stevens play 10-11 or even 13 players at times in the rotation?? more BAD players do not make for good ones.

I'm sure he has some but he's not actively involved in that. That's not his role and he doesn't run the numbers. I guarantee you he wanted Hayward back this year. There is no question he didn't. He doesn't make all those decisions. The reason you play guys is because you have to see who can do what. They don't get to practice this year. Secondly if it was up to fans the jays would play 48 mins a game and not finish the season. You have to play your roster especially in a condensed season.

Agreed , Hayward is a phenomenal ball player that was criminally underrated for the sacrifice he was making of being a 4th option when in fact we should of played through him more .

Kemba is not Hayward .... in fact he's not even close .
