Redick would be great for the team but likely needs to be bought out.

If Redick gets bought out, he's going straight to the East coast as his family lives in Brooklyn. Its either Nets or Sixers for him.

Reddick is washed. Otherwise, he wouldn't be up for grabs

But then again, if we're getting Myles Turner, why do we need Harrell?
It's a ballsy trade to make mid season, but Turner is a good player.
Not a fan of that first trade. Swap THT for Caruso in that second trade and I'd be on board.

He's said that he always wanted to play with LeBron though. I suspect Lakers, Nets, Bucks (loved playing with Jrue).
Redick is literally all the Lakers would need:
PG: Schroeder (30) | LeBron (18)
SG: Redick (20) | Caruso (28)
SF: KCP (24) | Kuzma (24)
PF: LeBron (20) | Davis (18) | Markieff (10)
C : Davis (20) | Harrell (20) | Gasol (8)

I have a funny feeling once AD comes back 100%, we have what we need all in this group right now. No need for a trade. We can definitely compete for the championship as is, with all cylinders running.

I want to believe in that, but I’m slightly worried that some of the important pieces are (Trez, Dennis, THT) are regular season stand outs. Last year Rondo was the difference maker in a few playoff wins. Might need another vet playmaker.

This is somehow true but I'm still concerned at our C position. We need at least a healthy C who can defend and rebound.

Not washed. Just not meant for SVG practices and minutes as a seventh guy. He said on his podcast his first reaction when Stan was announced was **** me where my knee pads at. He’s a guy who runs his heart out in game but Stan runs his tread out in practice drills too as Gilbert, Vince, and Barnes all complained about his practice habits too when they dealt with him.
You put Jj on a team with a coach who uses him 20 minutes and knows when to make the old guy practice or let him go half speed and he’s fine. Rondo got through the season because Vogel got it, Kieff struggled the first half and still played because Vogel got it.
And just a heads up he shot piss poor in December and January. In February he shot 46.8 from three for the month and in March he is at 44.4 from three. So he’s pretty much been elite again

KCP cannot play the three, might as well play Kieff in those lineups if you want to unclog the offense with spacing but Redick said repeatedly on his podcasts that he wishes to be closer to his family during the pandemic. He lives in a hotel now and doesn’t like it all that much.

He does play the 3 often though, do you mean he can't defend 3s?
Redick going to Nets would be absurd. Hopefully, that doesn't happen for general enjoyment.

Defensively, KCP is not a 3. He does better when he's chasing guards around screens rather than being isolated against bigger wings.

Re: Official trade thread 20-21 edition
With Tucker off the market, I wonder what THT + McKinnie + Wes Matthews could net us in a trade. My priorities would be:
1) A solid wing or floor spacing big on a decent multi-year contract
2) A mid-late 1st round pick. If we traded him to a crappy team that’s rebuilding, I’d look for a Top 14 protected pick where the protection lessens every year
Regardless, I think we have to trade THT. It really sucks, but we’re not going to be able to keep Caruso & THT in the off-season. And I’d prefer Caruso.

Re: Official trade thread 20-21 edition
I think I found the deal.
- Trade Morris to the Celtics for a future 2nd. He has the right to veto the trade but I would imagine he’ll accept it because he’ll get a role on a playoff contender
- Lakers trade THT, Wes Matthews, McKinnie to Miami for Avery Bradley, Harkless and a 2020 1st round pick.
Thoughts?

Woj said on his pod that the Lakers trade offers have been inclined towards getting off of longer term salary like Kuz & KCP so they can retain Caruso, THT and Schröder in the offseason.

Interesting... Can Kuz even be traded before the deadline though?

Because Bradley quit on the team. Because KCP was 17-3 pre bubble without Bradley as a starter. Because KCP defended Dame, Harden, and Murray primarily while shooting the team best from 3, best from the line, and was the third best player. Bradley wasn’t missed because he really could not have provided anything that KCP didn’t or better than KCP. Hell he couldn’t be better than playoff rondo at his best either.
Bradley hasn’t been good in Miami, he’s been often injured, he went to a place with high COVID which was a reason he wouldn’t go to the bubble, and much like Harkless he’s really not a reliable rotation player for them
