I think we will continue to spread em out like we have under Finch but I see Beasley coming in off the bench with Reid, Rubio, Layman/Culver/Nowell. Beasley won't like it but we need the scoring off the bench. He could be our Mr. offense, 6th man guy.
That 6th man role is vital on any winning team.

Ant should be the 6th man, first off bench and ball hogging the lead for the second crew if he remains with the team. Just like James Harden started his career. Are you saying he won't bring enough scoring for the bench?
Regardless, trades better happen by the deadline. Rosas is screwing all these players over with this stupid logjam. The convenient injuries and whatever are just classic Wolves fodder. I'm not surprised they are allowing Edwards to jack shots all day. Spin up that value kid. But he needs to keep drving that rim because nothing gets him more raves than that.

I hate this antiquated line of thinking!
Do you see Brooklyn fans saying Kyrie needs to be benched because there are only so many basketballs? Do you see Boston fans saying Brown needs to be benched because there are only so many basketballs? Do you see Portland fans saying McCollum needs to be benched because there are only so many basketballs?

Seriously? Are you comparing the stupid level lack of team and self awareness that Edwards is showing with Kyrie, Brown, and McCollum? How about the actual ability to shoot? You letting that sink in or overlooking it?
Brown in yr 5. As a rookie he got 20 starts but only took 5 FGA/g and yes better percentages.
Kyrie in yr 10. As a rookie he started, but he hit 3s at 40% and only attempted 3.6/g (14 shots not 22!)
McCollum in yr 8. No starts in rookie season. 3 starts in yr 2. Better shooting percentages than Edwards and only 5 FGA/g.
Edwards is 19 and has displayed a lack of ability to play smart with others yet and to control his shot attempts. That will probably come with time. But it does not need to ruin your team's gameplay for the next 2 years before he's locked any of it in yet.
I know we've talked about this in the past Klomp, James Harden averaged 23/27/31 minutes his first three seasons and look how he turned out. We've talked about this and the excuse for Harden being allowed to develop wisely like this is OKC had enough starters. Well, the Wolves are loaded with first round players right now, more ready in the head to start games. This is the only way you can keep drafting lotto players and keep building without blowing it up.
This team can't keep operating like there are no players on it yet.
There is now 2x #1 overalls, a #2, #5, #15, #19, #20, #28, and currently a second round player displaying an ability to maybe shoot better than anyone here ever has with gameIQ on a higher level than the great #1 overall Edwards.
Edwards can build up scoring quickly when warm and he can blow games when cold. There is no doubt a higher level player within him. He needs time though before letting him fully loose. Just like some of the guys you referenced got.

As you said, Minnesota's group isn't on the level of Brooklyn or the others. So if those guys who are better players and more deserving of shots can play together and not have an issue with too many basketballs, there shouldn't be an issue with this group not having enough basketballs.
