20-29 from the FT line.
Smart 2 assists and 4 turnovers.
Not going to beat even garbage teams when the above is happening.
Rob was awesome though, yay.
Also Tatum 37 minutes and Brown 39 minutes. They combined for 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile 6’1 Sexton has 7 rebounds in 37 minutes.
I won’t even talk about how bad both their team defense was as they repeatedly allowed open shots.
Tatum and Brown still aren't consistent when it comes to doing the little things. Though Tatum has been superb on defense, he gets tunnel vision on offense sometimes or fails to hustle back because he's complaining about a call. Brown is much more guilty; his team defense remains terrible, and his tunnel vision is worse. I don't think his improved scoring this season can offset just how bad he's regressed in some areas. And don't get me started on these two failing to get to the free throw line, settling for a million midrangers.
These two guys keep talking about leading by example, but their play on the court sometimes leaves much to be desired despite the great numbers they put up. For some reason they just don't provide enough of the intangibles that can inspire teammates to play harder. I'm sure they'll learn this as they grow older and have more experience, but right now it's just frustrating.
