Satos is a very good role player at a great contract. I would cash in if there is a first rounder being offered. Same thing for Thad. I would also try to package either Coby or WCJ to these deals in order to salvage value. The only reason for me to trade them would be to have enough cap space to add 1-2 really good players to this team over the summer. At the same time, it’s also adding in three young prospects in the vision of AK.

It’s very obvious that WCJ and Coby are not long term pieces on this team.

There is no way we are trading Sato and handing the team back to Coby White. I’m not trading Sato unless we acquiring a starting caliber PG to replace him. **** a prospect. We need to win now.

Also this upcoming free agent class sucks.

Yeah 2021 free-agent class was supposed to be best for a while and it truly sucks now when all best names aren't available.
Just an example but can you really blame Bucks for that they gave supermax extension for Giannis?

Do you understand Giannis would've leaved from Milawaukee if Bucks wouldn't resign him.
And yes even i would've wanted Bulls finding way to bring Giannis or someone else top UFA to Chicago

And what comes to trade Bulls should trade Coby or Wendell or both if AK can get OK / good return.

I don't have any expectations of this trade happening, but I would appreciate some feedback on the pros and cons. The hypothetical trade would be Lauri Markkenen and Coby White to the Orlando Magic for Johnathan Isaac and Mo Bamba.

Orlando improves their offensive output.
Chicago Improves their defensive impact.

I think Orlando is still high on Isaac, despite his injuries. I am 100% on board for going hard after Bamba. I was thinking a White/Carter/filler for Bamba/Ross

Since I want us to trade Lauri for Ball, I'd be fine if we can get a useful asset for Sato.

Houston Rockets are making moves trading deadbeats for future assets while AK sit still twiddling his thumb like Paxson Jr.

So much for the fake change. Still the same old regime run by a mom and pop owner shooting for that playoff $$$ with a garbage product. Never serious about winning. Just serious about selling hope to sell tickets.

Man, John Hollinger today on The Athletic suggests (not rumors, just trades from the top of his head) Collins could net Atlanta 2 young players and a 1st rounder, Barnes could net 2 first rounders and Fournier a young player and a 1st rounder.

And yet everyone seems to think we couldn't get **** for Markannen, Young and Sato????? Either we absolutely destroyed our players value with last year's play or people deliberately devalue our assets.

The offers of first rounder for Young and Sato are there. The problem is that AK is Paxson Jr who is following the Reinsdork pursuit of playoff $$$ at the moment.

So, you want to fish for more rookies again? Rebuilding sucks, and never works without an extremely lucky set of events lining up perfectly.

There is nothing wrong with fishing for fresh NBA talent. The problem is that this team outside of Lavine and maybe Lauri is a bunch of nobodies. Sato and Young will not be here in a season. This team is not talented enough to make the playoff.

GarPax made so many obvious blunders that are being exposed right now. 90% of the trash on this roster construction is made by GarPax. We clamor for change, and yet we settle for a GarPax roster construction. Where is the logic in that?

AK needs to be his own man, and put his thumbprint on this team instead of settling for GarPax trash. He’s hired for a reason, to build a team in his own vision bc the previous regime is a failure.

Calling TOTAL B.S. on the bolded statement.
They have not yet reached the trade deadline and this Summer there will be more moves than this deadline period.
AK has been there a half a season, and you think he can undo the years of bad management that came before him in a 1/2 a season?
You tagging him as Paxson Jr is a way to early and totally unfair assessment.

Looks like our biggest need is a true Center. We consistently make second string centers look like Hall of Fame candidates. And the Draft is unlikely to provide us with immediate help. So AK needs to bite the bullet and throw out some nice offers to Jarrett Allen, Drummond, or even Enes Kanter on a 2 year deal as a last resort. Then use a pick on Ariel Hukporti and stash him in Europe for at least one season. He's got the size and sufficient athleticism to be our future potential starting Center. But he's too young and hasn't faced enough top level competition yet. I'm not sure Wendell is even worth keeping as a backup Center. Bobby Portis would be more productive and maybe cheaper. I'd be willing to trade Carter to New Orleans for 2 of their second round picks. This draft has potential through both rounds. Guys with potential who could be available in Round 2 besides Hukporti include Tre Mann from Florida, Benedict Mathurin from Arizona, Euros Filip Petrusev and Roko Prkacin, Isaiah Todd of the G League, Charles Bassey of W. Kentucky, and David Duke of Providence. Let Valentine walk. If he's not hot from the arc he's worthless.

Drummond flat-out sucks. Really, really bad.

Kanter is a worse rim defender than Markannen, and I don't take that comparison lightly.

Allen is pretty good, but also a RFA who Cleveland will surely match.

There's no way that's happening for Collins or Barnes. But the devil is in the details, technically we got a 3 draft picks + a pick swap for Luol Deng. But in reality, we got nothing of value from that deal. Put enough protections and have picks turn into 2nd picks well into the future and it's nothing but paper at some point.

But 2 good young players plus a good unprotected 2021 1st rounder for Collins? That's not happening IMO. Dallas gave up one good 1st round pick for Luka Doncic, these packages Hollinger is tossing around for Collins & Barnes look insane to me. Again, assuming these are good assets and not heavily protected, delayed, or turn into 2nd rounders.

I agree. In no world is Harrison Barnes worth 2 1st round picks. Not even sure if he's worth one 1st. More like a SRP or maybe extremely late 1st at best.

Collins has shown plenty of warts and is gonna command a MAX deal in a few months. If we offered our 1st this year straight up, that would probably be the best offer they would get. And personally I would do that because im sick of waiting for picks to develop when ours never do.

I'd do a deal with the Pelicans and try to pry either Ball or Kira Lewis from them plus one or two of their 2nd round picks for whatever they want (within reason) except Lauri, Zach or Paw. And I'd move OPJ for Drummond. Use the remainder of the season to evaluate Ball or Lewis as our PG of the future and see what Drummond still has in the tank. He's not that old. And he can't be worse than what we've been getting from our assortment of low productivity centers. Drummond is a stop gap measure. Maybe a couple of years until we can draft and develop a FULL SIZED Center with some skills. Not my ideal choice but pickings are slim. There are not a lot of potential Draft choices able to step up immediately and the Free Agent market is light on Center talent. But we can't continue to be destroyed by marginal back-up centers. In his prime Wilt might have had a 200 point game against our bunch.

Boston would probably offer King two late frp and TT for H.Barnes. Their late lottery or late frp in last sesons were Langford,Nesmith,G.Williams,Edwards, Oyele,R.Williams. Most of those guys are injured or unplayable, only player who kinda broke out is Time Lord and he has been ppaying in spurts for a reason. So given that they defintevely can use Barnes more than two late frp. Like Boston is having bad season influenced by covid, injuries and still have homecourt advantage if playoffs were today. Kanter is excellent post player and offensive rebounder.

I'm really not sure what Detroit's plan is at the moment. They've got almost nothing going for them other than Grant, so trading him is in a way counter-productive, but I'll suggest a trade anyway:

Pistons Trade: J. Grant, Plumlee, and Delon Wright
Bulls Trade: Coby White, Wendell Carter, 2020 1st Round Pick, and Otto Porter

Why For The Bulls: We finally give Zach a sidekick who can play and defend multiple positions. If Jerami's "stardom" proves to be a fluke, then we have a high-level role player who is still exceptionally valuable. Plumlee and Wright aren't spectacular, but they give us steady and dependable production at our two weakest spots. Some may feel like it's an expensive package for a guy who is still unproven as a star, but the truth is that this trade really makes us into a significantly deeper and more potent team.

Why For The Pistons: While Grant's having a great year, it's hard to imagine a viable path to build a team around him. He's 27-years-old, on a completely different timeline than whoever they'll draft, and only locked up for two more seasons. Instead, the Pistons convert Grant into two young and recent lottery picks and a draft pick while also freeing up some financial flexibility.

New Lineup:

C. Markkanen/Plumlee/Kornett
PF.Grant/Young
SF.P. Williams/Valentine
SG.LaVine/Temple
PG.Satoransky/Wright/Arcidiacano

Thoughts?
