Westbrook can shoot you into a game and shoot you out of it. Good move to rest Beal and now bring him back in to close this out.

These quick jumpers by Westbrook are infuriating.

I've got a bad feeling right now. I foresee a bunch of isolation possessions with Beal. He'll start to cool off as he gets tired. Watch him go 1-6 over these last 8 minutes.
Hopefully, the defense will prevent Utah from closing all the way. 14 point lead with 8 minutes to go.

I couldn't care less about his plus minus. Watch the game. Lopez in the PnR is a disaster. This is why big slow footed players like Jahlil Oakafor and Roy Hibbert are out the game. Defensively, I'd go so far as to argue that even if Lopez plays well defensively he's still bad, because he forces us to play an inherently flawed defensive scheme. If we had an athletic big like Precious Achiuwa, we'd be switching everything.
Sure. The goal is to find an agile switchy big who is still strong enough to defend guys like Embiid and Valanciunas, while also getting a ton of boards. I want Bam Adebayo too. But Lopez has been pretty good. Yeah, he's not switchable so we have to play drop coverage, but he is pretty good at protecting the rim.
That I'd agree with. With regards to what he's asked to do, he's good. But in the larger context of this team being 14 and 25, it shows you the limitations. I'm not saying we need Bam. I'm saying we need an athletic big. A defense that has Robin Lopez on the floor can only be so good. Personally I'd spend way more time with Rui at the 5. Most centers in the league aren't scoring threats. And we would be able to space the floor offensively.

Can't see the game... Out of town and I have not been able to get the NBCSW app to work since I got here saturday! I'll have to wait for the 10 min highlight version on Youtube.

Here they come. Deni is becoming Bonga with his inability to hit the open 3. He will need to sit even though his D has been strong.

Mitchell can score in bunches and make you forget he was invisible in the first half. He's pretty incredible on O when he gets it going.

Your bad feeling was warranted. Outscored 10-3 in the 2 minutes since you posted...
I feel bad but this is the first season I'm truly rooting for losses. To me, it is NOT a bad thing if they lose.
Bye bye Beal.

Deni is shooting 24% from three-point range in his last 21 games. Bonga comes in for him and tips the offensive rebound to Beal for the open 3.

So I guess Rui's going to play the entire second half?

Westbrook has GOT to stop shooting with so much time on the clock.

If Russ had Joe Ingles’ brain he’d be in contention for the GOAT pg.

Oh no. Beal with 41. Can the Wiz finally win for what, the first time in 12 games when Beal scores over 40?

I don't care if they lose but if they win, they don't need to stop the presses and not trade a few guys on one-year deals that could help other clubs like Rolo.

I understand. I actually feel like a bad fan rooting for losses.
Bye bye Beal.

Is Russell Westbrook still an elite player?
Stat line this game sure says he is.
Can't help but think he might have trade value now.
