For those wanting accountability, Finch is working on it:

Let's see how it works with everyone healthy, hard job for the coach tbh.
You say that, but they still only scored 83 of 123 one of the best nights for any duo in 20 seasons. Everyone no matter how good they are need a good supporting cast. That’s why Lebron has so few titles and Curry has multiple. Excellence is a great thing in and of itself but this is a team game and true stars find ways to make the team better. Last night KAT made the team better. At times Edwards did the same. When we get Dlo and Beasley back and we get guys like Nowell and MCD going watch what we start doing to teams when they turn the ball over 22 times.

I've missed the last few games because my newborn is kicking my butt lol. But I love the direction this team has gone since Finchball began. It seems he came in and re-established roles. The KAT/ANT 2 man game is beautiful to watch and when Dlo, and Beasley return it'll be even harder to help off of Ant. Players are starting not to jump with him (smart investment after Raptors poster). Looking at the box score yesterday, they really need some help from supporting cast.
I hope we start winning games and get as close to the 8th seed as possible. Im not a fan of tanking in the NBA because the draft order isn't based on standings plus it affects player morale (KAT specifically). I think you win now and try to attract some UFA rather than draft another 19 y/o.

I didn't check if Ant ever got a second assist, but for nearly 90% of it that's all he had. There is going to be a lot of wasted talent standing around if they stay with this Kat/Edwards thing. I think it would be better to move a bunch of players and get more complimentary sized/defense players, larger effective players on that end to allow Kat/Edwards to just bury teams with offense and Maybe keep one more good shooter around. Everyone else, gtfo if this is the type of ball they are playing. Need to keep one John Stockton for an outlet. The rest of the guards should go.

For the record, in case people are curious...
If the rest of the West teams all finish out the season at their current win percentages, Minnesota would have to finish the season with a 25-6 record from this point forward in order to slip into the 10th seed and the play-in game.

I wouldn't rule out Minnesota keeping Hernangomez after listening to Finch talk about him last night.

Coached him during his Nuggets days.
Dane Moore in his latest podcast thought maybe the Wolves would scrap starting a defensive PF (Vanderbilt) and give Hernangomez another crack at it.

Re: Post Game Thoughts; Suns
After watching the Wolves 5 games after the all-star break, I'm now convinced the team isn't going to tank the rest of the season. I think this makes sense since I expect that Rosas doesn't want there to be any chance that the pick the team owes ends up being 4th or 5th this year. By not tanking, I predict the Wolves will finish in the 6-8 range in the lottery (which still gives the team a 19.1-27.4% chance of keeping their pick).

Let's say we finish 20-11 for a final 30-42 record. 8th and 9th (Mavs and Warriors) are not collapsing. That leaves the 10th seed as the only one reachable spot keeping it real:
Grizzlies 18-19 would have to finish 11-24 or worse to fall behind. Highly doubtful.
Thunder 17-24 would have to finish 12-19 or worse to fall behind. Maybe.
Pels 17-24 would have to finish 12-19 or worse to fall behind. Maybe.
Kings 16-24 would have to finish 13-19 or worse to fall behind. Maybe.
Rockets 11-28 tanking.
Yep, I see 4 reachable teams if we go on a good run, but we are not catching the Grizzlies barring a miracle

I considered putting up a poll after last night's game but figured the results may be skewed.

Re: Post Game Thoughts; Suns
If the team shows improvement and Edwards continues to flash potential of being a top option, I have no problem losing our pick this year. Sure it kinda would suck, but it gives a chance for the team to continue to mesh.
Another thought.....the team with the least roster turnover last offseason was Utah. It shows in their on-court synergy. Could say the same about Denver two seasons ago. I wouldn't mind modeling this, especially if the trend continues to be upward trajectory. Davis and Vanderbilt are our only players up for free agency.

Why you limiting Edwards to a 25-6 record? Just beat up the Suns who went star chasing for a run.
What would a 29-2 finish net them?
With Edwards and Towns getting 40 each game, well. Sky is the limit right?

I think of this much less of being pulled or being held accountable and more about developing a player, teaching him in the moment. Seeing him doing something wrong, stop - pull him aside and tell him right then so he knows to correct it. Why wait until a film session later when you can correct it right now during the game. Now he's back in the game already laying down positive action memory and one game ahead of the alternative of waiting to yell at him later where you just ride on hope he remembers 5 minutes into the next game.
