I don’t think they set the market. They overpaid for Jrue. They overpaid for DJ last summer. They overpaid for Bog before it broke down too. They just do that in deals

I could never have imagined that Lamelo Ball would become the player he has this early into his career. He's having a historic rookie campaign.

Something to say about playing vs men. Luke and Melo both are far along in the process

Re: Around the NBA XI
I got an odd question, has it ever happened where a player wins a championship with team A, free agent signs with team B in the off season. He expects to receive his ring when team B visits team A, but team B doesn’t play team A till after the trade deadline. In the mean time team B trades player to team C who already visited team A for the season. So player receives his championship ring the following year when team A is no longer champion. Has this ever happened?

Re: Around the NBA XI
The thing about "too much firepower" is that it is a myth I believe. There's one ball and only a limited number of possessions. Only one basket attempt per possession dictated points by the attempter's fg avg. Not like any of the three in the evil empire has a fg avg that is otherworldly or superhuman. It all falls within a range of around .45 to .55 for the collective or any team on any given nite.
Now what really makes something amount to "too much firepower"?
Offensive rebounds which they don't really have and defense leading to turnovers which they are pretty mediocre in (avg in league).
So really let's let them believe all you need is extra firepower. Don't fight and argue against them in gb! Just pat them on their back and say "cool..you right!"
Bc truthfully , Playoffs are won by defensive stops and offensive rebounds.
..
I don't care how many guns you possess when it is just you against another guy w guns taking turns shooting at a target for a set number of times.

Another team I've been watching and is a growing concern, amongst other things, but just want to give them props are the Denver Nuggets. That move of Gordon is a game changer for them. Im interested to see playoff seeding and where they land. Javale is also there, just to mention, not that he's a championship piece

If you want it to be active though, you may need to be active on it, as it's pretty much just me and one other guy from the Clippers forum... It used to be more active, almost completely with Clippers fans, but I think they got in an argument amongst themselves and he was the last one standing... So come on over... I try to post there as much as possible/reasonable...

I love how the GB is freaking out again over Ben McLemore. Nets fans and Nugget fan are definitely salty as hell.

I forgot that we own our pick this year. Its protected 8-30 so, we'll likely end up with something in the early 20s.

Yeah, with our latest draft results this is a great piece.
With our payroll we can't really add meaningful talent without a buyout or a trade. And the Drummond signing is basically a rental.
Having guys on rookie deals for multiple years to fill a role is a blessing.
As needs, I def see a C as a priority. Drummond won't be back, I don't know if we'll pay Harrell and Gasol might finally call it quits and return to Europe.
Obviously we've been looking for a 3D guy for a while so that's also a need. Maybe even a PG if we don't pay Schroder.
Sharife Cooper
Jared Butler
Chris Duarte
Neemias Queta
Tre Mann
Bennedict Mathurin
Joel Ayayi
Ayo Dosumnu
Kai Jones
Should all be on board. I think all of them can play and fill a role right away.
If the C problem persists, Queta is a perfect fit as a low usage, rim running defensive/rebounding C.
This guy is a ferocious shot blocker. Finished his college career(won't return) with a 11 point 13 reb 6 ast 7 blks game in the tourney.
NBA body, checks all the boxes on what you would want from a non shooting C nowadays.
