That’s just some weird thought process that the internet guys have perpetuated.

He destroyed 145 won the title, was given a 155 title shot because he was the champ at the other division, exactly no difference than what Izzy, Max, TJ, Cujo, GSP, Jones, were given or if Khabib wanted to jump to 170 they’d allow that.

Then he came back and fought Mid ranked cowboy and top 5 Dustin, which is all reasonable.

This belief that he’s some how got all this preferential treatment is crazy to me.

Conor has one win in the ufc at lightweight and that was on 2016. He’s lost his last two fights at light weight. The only weird thought process was your response.

No ones saying he didn’t deserve his title shot vs Alvarez. That’s not relevant. He doesn’t deserve one now. There was a concern he’d get one straight away given he’s fighting the guy most deserving of a title shot in Dustin but looks like dustin chose money and the ufc actually did the right thing making their fight a non title fight.

He never was getting one though, that’s the point. This idea he’s getting a title fight and preferential treatment is some weird argument on the internet between trolls.
Dana never said it, it’s never been talked officially about, it’s just things guys on message boards say and run with or click baiters use to get people to comment imo.

I actually don't really have a problem with this tbh. JG was thoroughly outclassed very recently.

I would have preferred Oliveira/Poirier but Poirier will probably try to fight Conor or Nate or something next.

Ya I agree, and I can’t blame him.
If he wins the title it eliminates the chance of fighting conor again and Nate which are the two biggest money fights.
I like Dustin, with Khabib gone, I think he’s the best 155er in the world. I hope he gets Conor again, and because Conor needs it he’s going to get a bigger slice of the pie. He’ll probably make a couple million off it versus something like 600k vs Charles.
Go get that money and then get the title.

I definitely do because not only does Justin not get a title shot he won’t be next and he’s left with no suitable opponent the work his way back to one.

Edit -I guess he could fight nate

Because Justin is good?

Because ufc continue to try give him short notice fights and the ufc was trying to get gaethje vs Chandler done so undoubtedly he said give me 12 weeks, which he’s been saying forever and they said no.

Not that this is super short notice, I think about 8 weeks but he’s been pretty hypocritical of the ufc and they keep up with the same games.

Chandler, I’m pretty sure signed a contract with a promise of a title shot within a fight or two. Could be wrong though.

I don’t think that’s boning Justin though, if he turned down the short notice. It’s not like this scenario was unpredictable, I think everyone knew Charles was fighting for a title if Khabib retired.

The ufc wants the title figured out, and Justin is coming off a loss. Chandler just had an amazing debut and is older with a shorter window.

All that said though you are probably right, chandler probably should have fought another fight first. Dustin imo deserves the title shot, but Conor and Dustin are out, so that leaves Charles vs Either chandler or Justin and if Justin can’t hit the time line, then I can see why they gave it to chandler coming off a top 5 win in impressive fashion.
I’m sure Justin will probably fight the winner though.

I don’t think Charles was getting the title shot though. I think chandler was the one that was always getting it. All reports where they were working on Justin vs Chandler. Which would have left Charles as the odd man out but I guess it all worked out for Charles .

This lightweight title was always gonna be at this main event. Khabibs been retired for ages. Justin’s been asking for a fight for ages. Said he’ll fight any of the top 5 and nate. Just give me my time. They never contact him. Last time they tried to give him like 4 weeks or whatever it was and hooker took the fight.

Anyway I’m not a big Justin fan or anything just don’t love joe the ufc does things.

Also I think winner of Dustin vs Conor will get the next title shot.

I love Charles getting the shot. I am less concerned with the title and more with just seeing all possible pairings of these top 5 LWs (Conor, JG, Dustin, Charles, Chandler). There was a worry that CO would simply be crowded out (he doesn't speak English, right?).
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

Again you say nothing, why do you post if you have nothing to discuss but jerking off, eye pokes and hot fighters.

You don’t make any arguments, just personal jabs to make your crumby life feel a little more palatable. You’re not ‘sane’, you’re probably a pretty sad individual actual.

You’re at least near 40, you should have more self awareness and be at a better place in your life. Take a break from the internet and enjoy life. Your tense man.

no more than 25% of my posts have to do with who the hottest MMA fighers are. plus, with Arona retired and War Machine a sadistic rapist, I barely have any content. Stay tuned for a list of up-and-cummers, though.

Knew the ufc just screwed Justin when this fight was announced. Assumed it was coz Justin wanted more time but appears worse than I thought.

UFC probably wants him to get a win before fighting for a title given how his last fight went.

I think his beef is more how he had to wok his way up after signing whereas Chandler just beat a guy coming off of a loss and got a shot.

UFC really should do more tournaments to sort this **** out though. There's too much BS.

Islam, Connor, JG, DP, Charles, Chandler, Tony, RDA and crown the champ at the end of the year.

I just don't think its a no-brainer. I would have preferred that because honestly I despise Chandler, but its not like some egregious screwjob that JG doesn't get a title shot like 4 days after being babied by Khabib.

If that was the case fine. Work on another fight and give him something. The issue is they’ve been working on Justin chandler for a minute and even gaethje thought it was happening and again they leave him with nothing.

Justin needs to just do everything he can to entice Nate now I think. A wins a win and the money might be good. Plus he’s said he’s love to bash nate.

JG would take YEARS off of Nate's life. Would be too sad to watch.

Dunno if anyone follows Tony’s twitter but he’s a full brown (Please Use More Appropriate Word), which I guess is on brand. Very delusional too.

There are 5 clear lightweights that the UFC had plans with. Someone was going to get left out, and only Conor and Justin are coming off losses... sorry Justin. He's probably 1 fight and 1 injury away from a title shot anyway. These things move fast.

What you guys think about the ufc going back to full capacity crowds? They have Jacksonville (sold out) and Houston booked I believe.

It's just weird because Dana told me the fighters were getting all the money from the deal?
