We never had a chance to pick Embiid...

That's my point though lol. The fans were happy he was off the board because they didn't want him to get picked by us.

HELL No. I wanted Embiid over everyone... we just didn't land the right pick.. I was on the Exum train pre-draft because of our pick but I was happy with AG at 4 because of the AG high school mixtapes.

I was calling Embiid the next Hakeem when I tuned in to watch Wiggins. If I remember correctly, my board was something like:

Embiid
Wiggins
Parker
Exum
Smart
AG

Exum is the only one that would be a complete miss. Wiggins, to me, should have been easy to weed out if you have access to talk to him. His laziness\disinterest in the game should have been uncovered by a great scouting team IMO. That dude still has all the talent in the world to be a top 10 player. He just doesn't care enough. Parker's career was killed by injuries.

I think my biggest miss of recent memory was probably Fox. I had a similar reaction when he was picked by the kings at 5 because I just didn't want to draft another PG who had a similar skillset as Elfrid and struggled to shoot.

In hindsight, I severely underrated just how special he was in all those other facets of his game. He's an awesome player who i'd love to have as our point guard right now.

I was pretty spot-on in my evaluation of DSJ/Lauri that year, but Fox was a major miss on my part. Who'd have thought he'd end up far and away the best PG from that class? Even those who were high on him didn't predict that.

Suggs can still jump to 1 on my board.

He's a monster tournament run away from seriously getting in that conversation. Gonzaga is set up for it.

I think Mobley is tremendous and is unquestionably one of the five best players in this draft, maybe even the 1st or 2nd best, but I just can't select him to the Magic under the current circumstances.

If the Magic had a different front office or if I had any faith whatsoever in Weltman and Hammond to actually balance the roster with trades, I'd have Mobley way higher on my board.

But Orlando has six power forwards and centers under contract for next season, four of them for multiple seasons, and there's just no indication any of them - Vucevic and Isaac specifically - are going anywhere anytime soon.

Cunningham, Suggs, Green or bust?

Embiid wouldn't let us see his medical info. Plus we were using the motto, if they don't work out for us, we aren't drafting them. Weham does the exact opposite and only drafts players that don't work out for us.

Kentucky guards more often than not end up doing well.

SGA
Murray
Herro
Fox
Booker
Wall
Rondo
Bledsoe

Maxey — TBD

Definitely a few misses as well, but this is a list any school would be proud of.

I have a bold prediction : Kuminga might be out of the top 5 if Bouknight and Moody goess depp in the NCAAT and impresses. Too bad for Kuminga I dont think the GL has any more games that might showcase his talent and skills, so his last chance might be the combine/workout/etc before the draft.

I really don’t think the world is as high on Bouknight as you are. I don’t think they are ever going to be either.

He could go top 10 with a strong showing and strong workouts but top 5 is 100% not happening.

Moody has a better chance. Moody is very much in the runny for the “best of the rest” and the #6 spot right now. So no reason he can’t sneak into the top 5 if the right team falls in love with him.

True.. Like Zaire, I think Bouknight was setback due to injuries. With the history of our team that does kind of factor in our minds.

However, I think if Moody is a no-show in the tourney and Bouknight does impress, then I think he can overtake Moody.

Agreed. That was my mindset about wanting Keldon Johnson too.

Yeah especially with Cliff at Coach Mobley wouldn’t find consistent PT and tank his value as well. Luckly it looks as though Mobley will be a top 4 pick and cause atleast one of Cunningham, Suggs, & Green to fall to 4.

We need a dynamic guard so badly on this team. Just need to have our fingers crossed that the lottery balls bounce our way.

UConn is so physically outmatched today. They are getting pushed around at all levels and most of all have nothing in the paint. This is ugly.

Bouknight really isn’t impressing me. He is working hard out there for sure but they have shut him down and he has nothing to offer when his A game is taken away. — which is the scouting report on him.

The first round is a wake up call for a lot of these guys. Hopefully they come out strong in Round 2. Not sure if Bouknight will get that opportunity.

All eyes are justifiably going to be on Suggs tonight, but I'd also be very interested in doubling up and snagging his teammate Joel Ayayi in the 2nd round or by acquiring a 1st rounder for Evan or AG.

Yeah, in the first half I thought MAryland couldn't stop Uconn from the boards. They had, what? 10 offensive rebound before the 10min mark in the 1st half?

Then they had their zone and threw a wall at Bouknight and it was game over. Especially since Bouknight's passes to teammates weren't converted.

Ouch, not 2 mins and Suggs is on the bench with 2 fouls... no early showcasing for him.

Gonzaga is so loaded that it's hard for me to accurately evaluate Suggs.

I wonder if he's going to struggle or absolutely thrive in the NBA when a team sticks the ball in his hands on every possession and tells him to go be the engine of their offense because he absolutely is not tasked with that on this team with all their weapons.

With Suggs in the bench they erected a 10-12 pt lead. When he came back on they increased it to 19. Yeah its hard to evaluate Suggs properly cuz unlike other lotto picks, 1.) opposing teams cannot game plan on just stopping him alone 2. ) His passes/assist are converted more due to having teammates that can actually score
