Well it's not easy to root for a small market franchise but at least we have Shai and a lot of picks. Pretty bad season overall because our odds to get a high draft picks aren't very good but still a lot of ways to improve.
Hope you can bring us some luck!

I get it. I was close to turning in my Bulls fan card, but I've been a fan since 89. The Thunder have definitely been growing on me since I live in OK. I pay much closer attention to OKC now. If they were playing each other for a championship, I'd probably be rooting for the Thunder. It's much more fun to root for a team with smart management.
If you join now you get to be a part of a ground up rebuild. My most exciting years following the Clippers were the young rebuilding teams with crazy potential, like the Run N Gun Clips in early 00s. The problem is we had horrible owner and front office who couldn’t maximize it. The OKC FO on the other hand IS elite. No way they blow this rebuild with their drafting ability and sheer volume of picks

Bazley+Dort+Poku+Maledon all have upside to be good for a long time. They should all form a nice role player core. Don’t do what the Clippers did and rush the rebuild with big trades. The draft focus should be on a wing and a C for the next couple years maybe? Dort plays great D and is incredibly strong for his size, but I’d think a more traditional wing could help?

Yup, it's weird, but my favorite Bulls years were the Hinrich/Gordon/Deng years. It's so much fun watching young guys grow with an organization. Winning's great, but message board fandom is the most interesting during a good rebuild. Not a whole lot to discuss when the foundation is set.

Ya it’s crazy how much this forum has died over the last few years. A lot of posters were fans of Westbrook or KD more than the thunder. Also we has several international fans that left when their guy left. Even one specific poster who used to complain about not rebuilding disappeared after he finally got what he wanted. Go figure. Several other posters changed their names and switched to other teams too. It seems like there are actually more fans that follow the team for specific players than the team as a franchise.

Not sure who to root for today.
Wonder how the players feel about all the sitting. Anyone else feel like this may push us to trade Horford sooner rather than later?

I'm hoping Horford can be a mentor for Mobley next year.

Don't think this has any Horford implication. Probably no calls on a Horford trade and Presti is probably telling him about this. Also think Horford is smart guy and he understand the business side of it and behave like a pro is the best way for him to get traded ASAP. Best case scenario would be to trade him this offseason in my opinion.
Hill is the one we will probably sell low because of tanking...

I'm hoping Horford can be a mentor for Mobley next year.Either way, I'm ok keeping him if he doesn't get moved. If we hit on our pick this year, I think the team will try to be more competitive next year. I also like watching bigs that can shoot.
Good point about next years competitiveness. I’ve liked having him on the team too - he’s really helped the young guys. Just being in the right place, right time, etc. has made life a lot easier on Shai.

I follow the team as a franchise (and I am international!) but my english is so bad that I don't post often...
Just for the record, but I like your discussions and postings here.

I’m not international and my English is bad. Don’t let that discourage you from posting.

I’m still around. I just don’t have near the free time anymore. I still read everything and try to interact more, but my life has been chaos for the last year plus.

I missed out on this game due to house hunting. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers fellas! I REALLY want this one for my first home and with mine now it’s a bid between 3 cash buyers.

Land is cheap in okc. The only down side is the trees are 8 feet tall and the wind blows 40mph on a good day.

I also left out that life is crazy for some people since the pandemic. I’ve been fortunate with my work but I know a lot of people a haven’t been.

I moved to Colorado Springs, CO which was unfortunately just recently named best place to live in America, which has led to jam packed housing market

Gotcha. Ya I just had a friend move from Denver to Boise because Colorado COL is out of control, but at least you’re one zone closer to the thunder. It would be tough being a thunder fan on pacific time.
