Not sure if this article is the one from the realgm ticker, but the ticker one said Miami is Kyle's preference because of friendship with Jimmy Butler. Made me think, everyone says Philly is his hometown, but who says he likes the guys on Philly? Maybe he doesn't even want Philly.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Let’s just say it’s something like Olynyk, Dragic, Herro, and Precious (yeah, I know) for Lowry, Baynes, and Thomas.

Then we flip Powell, McCaw, and Stan to Denver for Harris, Bol Bol or Hampton, and a 1st.

FVV / Dragic / Flynn
Herro / Harris / Davis
OG / Bembry
Siakam / Precious
Olynyk / Boucher / Bol

Plus two FRPs this year.

Yep I’m in.

Dude..Tyler is a young prospect.. that would start this conversation.. I think Miami would be smart to get rid of Tyler and keep Duncan..who is the better player right now.. but Tyler's ceiling is too good to not take a chance on him.. a pure shooter who will do good in our system.. and is bound to be a star in year 4..

I would make the trade for Kelly + Dragic + Robinson or Precious.

The Heat would then try and get Aldridge as a buyout to replace Kelly.

If you can't get a good young prospect like herro then you don't even deal with the heat and their role player offers.
The sixers can atleast give you picks that aren't years away on top of the prospect

I'm all for trading with Philly. I don't really care where we trade him

But Miami isn't going offer Herro

Much rather have Herro or Precious than Maxey. Even Miami's salary filler in Olynyk might provide some use to us compared to Danny Green/Michael Scott who will most likely get bought out.

Only way I'd take a Philly Package is if Maxey + multiple 1sts are in play.

It’s interesting that there has been like zero reports of us trying to *upgrade* this team. So it’s either stay as is or sell. Hopefully they do something.

This is where the bidding war philosophy comes into play and it’s ultimately how you end up getting Herro or Maxey and a first in a Lowry deal.

Think about it - Philly and Miami, even without Lowry, are fairly even. Miami hasn’t played well but as soon as Bam gets back, they’re going to round into form before the playoffs like they always do.

If you’re either of those teams and you know Kyle is available, that’s probably the most realistic option of improving your team this year. You’re currently a notch below Brooklyn and probably a little below Milwaukee, but adding Kyle gives you not just a chance at the ECF but a chance to knock off one of the LA teams in the finals.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from the 19 championship is that building championship rosters is hard and building dynasties is practically impossible with young players developed internally. It requires trades, for multiple star players, to even get close. If I’m Philly, I’m not scoffing at giving up Maxey and a first for Lowry. That’s a no brainer. If I’m Miami, I probably have some hesitation but ultimately give up Herro if it means getting a shot this year with Lowry, Robinson, Bam, and Butler. Those four get me about as close as anyone. If you get the chance to truly go for it, you just do it in this league.

I think Miami does that for sure.

I think we can get better than that for Powell in his own deal, and I think you can squeeze Herro (plus maybe Precious as well) out of Miami because they don’t have any firsts to give and Philly does.

...and in Miami's culture...TDII blossoms into a beast. That damn Heat culture!!!

Getting back Herro/Robinson, Dragic, Olynyk would signicantly bolster our depth and make us a threat in the East.

FVV/Dragic/Davis
Powell/(Herro/Robinson)/Thomas
OG/Bembry/Johnson
Siakam/Boucher
Olynyk/Baynes

That's a solid team.
yep looking at this lineup from that trade honestly makes this team better. more balanced .

Raps can throw in someone like Bembry who would give them good bench minutes. And if they think theyre getting Aldridge in a buy out, which is looking increasinly likely as the trade deadline approaches and he hasnt been moved yet, they'd end up with very decent depth.

Lowry+Bembry for Olynyk/Dragic/Herro

Lowry/Nunn
Butler/Bembry
Robinson/
Bam/Precious
Aldridge/Bam

A guy like Baynes has something of value to them also. They can throw him at Embiid and his contract is nonguaranteed next year so he doesn’t impact their off-season plans.

1. Get Herro and Precious for Lowry
2. Trade Norm for more assets
3. Rest the core guys and tank for a top 5 pick
4. Go Back home to Toronto

I can't see them trading Herro but that would be highway robbery for trading a 35 year old player leaving in the summer.
