Its good that Herro value is at its lowest, its the easiest way to get a decent young prospect for a guy on his way out regardless

You think Miami would do this?

Olynyk + Iggy + Herro for Lowry + Thomas + Watson

Then, we'd waive Iggy and he could potentially return to Miami...

I think Miami does that for sure.

I think we can get better than that for Powell in his own deal, and I think you can squeeze Herro (plus maybe Precious as well) out of Miami because they don’t have any firsts to give and Philly does.

More than that for Powell? I'm a Raps fan but let's not get crazy. I think you can get ONE of Precious, Herro or Robinson for Powell (assuming there's interest in Powell on Miami's side) but not more than that.

Now, upon re-evaulation of my posted deal, it still does feel a LITTLE light for Toronto but not that light. Maybe Miami adds Nunn or a future protected first, 2nds or something like that

I still think trading Norm in a package for either a straight up upgrade or multiple small upgrades + picks is the only likely outcome.

The Herro / Robinson piece is new. We’ve seen what Miami’s initial offer was, but now there’s rumors about what we want.

I had the same thought. I think you can squeeze Precious out of it too if you include Davis. They can’t give a first for like 4 years and we won’t want that, so this seems like a good deal for both sides.

I think they would want to keep Dragic for bench depth and Iggy makes sense as a buyout guy.

I think both Precious and Herro are obtainable in a Lowry deal, as crazy as that might sound. We can send back Davis who has upside for them and is continuously in Nick’s dog house. Philly can offer a prospect and a pick in 2021, Miami can’t do that.

I think if you go to Denver you can pry out Bol Bol and a 1st if you take Harris’ deal from them, so I would hold out for something like that before I go sending both to Miami.

Bol bol is a novelty prospect. He's never gonna be a full time player. At least get RJ Hampton

Not me bro. Bol Bol hasn't shown much and absorbing Harris is going to require compensation in and of itself, nevermind actually paying for Lowry.

Yes Philly can offer a prospect and a pick but all of Miami's prospects have proven more than Maxey/Thybulle and the 29th pick that hasn't even been chosen yet.

Lastly, if we trade Lowry, we're going to need a reliable backup and Flynn is not there yet. Dragic would fill that role nicely. Maybe next year we're flipping Dragic to another team that needs some bench help for a second or two.

This.

well he is one of the most overrated players in the league.

Getting back Herro/Robinson, Dragic, Olynyk would signicantly bolster our depth and make us a threat in the East.

FVV/Dragic/Davis
Powell/(Herro/Robinson)/Thomas
OG/Bembry/Johnson
Siakam/Boucher
Olynyk/Baynes

That's a solid team.

Shhhh don't let Miami see this...

does anyone know what the heat's FA space will be in the offseason. trading for lowry prob takes them out of the dipo sweepstakes.

Not really. Shooting is inconsistent for all players, especially young guys
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Herro has Allstar/star potential.....now I said potential, he isn’t at that point yet obviously.

Not many or any pieces coming back for Kyle or Norm will have Allstar or star potential.

Herro is the goal. Kyle is gone if Herro is on the other end.

Lowry will want to go to the heat as well.

Everyone wins, everyone is happy.

Why would Miami risk strengthening a direct rival? Why would Riley do that?

We give up the best player in the deal (obviously) but Herro and Olynyk/Dragic would round out our team and give our overall shooting a major boost.

Olynyk alone probably increases our win share by +3 or 4 when you consider the spacing he offers as part of frontcourt depth.

I know Herro's D is lacklustre to say the least....but how do ppl think he could work with our schemes?

Tbh...I think he might even be worse with is and our switch-heavy approach. But I'm curious if there's any rationale in how his defensive value may vary depending on schemes.

Miami fans seem to very excited about norm. KL Norm for herro duncan precious + fillers. Is that enough? Would there have to be a pick?

It would be Dragic/Olynyk a future FRP or nothing for Miami. Theyre not giving up Herro after that playoff performance. He's their future SG.

If youre not getting Precious and youre not getting Herro, whats the point of doing a trade? The next available first from the Heat is like 4 or 5 years out
