The future of this franchise is at stake come deadline day. Do nothing and it sets this team back another 2 or 3 years.
Time to do the right thing.

Beating the Nets without KD and the Bucks without Jrue Holiday fooled a lot of folks on this board.
This kind of goes both ways. We were never good enough to be beating teams like that when fully healthy and those injuries certainly led people to believe we were a top 4 team in the east.
On the flips side, some people think we now suck because we lost all of our 3 best players at the same time due to Covid and they’re not yet back to 100%. When in reality we’re not this bad.
The truth lies somewhere in the middle. We’re a playoff team but not top 4 as currently constructed.
I’m not complaining with our current situation tho. This season is a write off for me with Tampa, no fans etc. And a 1 year stealth tank may be perfect. Longer off season for pascal and Fred to get their act together and a high pick to go with it.

Fumbling the bag on Serge did Masai in. Never knew just how important a competent Big-Man is.
Not fully blaming this on losing Ibaka but after seeing Baynes this season....what a royal screw-up by the Raptors front office by not giving Serge what he wanted.

Ibaka is the difference in the 11 and 10 seed.

Lowry is almost inevitable to leave this off-season. Losing him like we did Ibaka for nothing would be devastating. Especially after the season we're having. Given Lowry's age...you have get something in return for him. His value is still incredibly high.

Sign me up.
Willing to accept short term pain. Get a good pick, trade Powell/Lowry, get asssts.
Team could be back to top of the east in 1-2 years

If we kept ibaka we’d be somewhere like the 7th spot and people would be complaining that we’re treadmillimg and we have no hope of winning anything.
Without him we may get a top 5 pick. It could be a long term W.
Ibaka also doesn’t fit the timeline of our core so I’m not too mad at losing him.

I kind of feel bad for these people getting stressed over these games. Like what are you cheering for? A first round exit?

Re: Tank World Order (2.0)
Im ready to cook up trades. Any Lowry trade should get a good young player and picks. Any Powell trade should get us a Big man who fits into our future.
Or we can package both Lowry and Powell....and target the Dallas Mavericks around a trade involving Porzingus.

Most people who don't like the idea of TWO watch a game and cheer for good play, competition, and winning that game. They watch the game. And fighting for playoffs, championships, individual accolades, these are added pleasures and meanings to each game they watch.
I kind of feel bad for people who think they watch games, but really they're not watching basketball. They're just re-running a fantasy that has to do with getting a trophy. Like what are you cheering for? What happens after a season?

It’s fine to look at the silver lining but there is no sugarcoating that Masai screwed up this offseason. It’s fine if things didn’t work out between us and Ibaka but look at the trash replacements Masai signed instead. Not only that but he’s failed to make a trade, waive Baynes, or make another change to address this untenable situation.
Remember also the goal was to compete this year to attract Giannis in the summer. Needless to say, Masai has been a let down this season.

Or if separate...
Kyle Lowry for Tyler Herro, Andre Iguodala (Salary Purposes), Kelly Olynik and Kendrick Nunn. Iguodala gets waived.

The prospect of Cade and OG excites me.
Let's hope it happens.

We are welcoming to all those who said hurtful things to us. We are all at the end of the day Raptors fans and are accepting of all our brothers and sisters.

Why would the Heat trade Herro for a rental?
