Can we trade a two-way player? Because there's no way we give Frank Jackson 30 minutes per game if we cannot... We should rather play Smith and Lee, and Sirvydis to a larger extend.

No matter who Casey plays, the players are going to try to play their best and sometimes that's going to result in a win whether Casey wants to win games or not. If all the players are developing and getting better individually and collectively as a team they're going to win some games. The idea that getting or not getting a top 3 pick in this draft (i.e. the need to lose as many games as possible) is the difference between a future championship and bust/back to the starting point is illogical. Right now the Pistons have one really good player in Grant. If we saw a collective individual and team development from all the other players such that they won 60% of the games for the rest of the season with a good balance of minutes and the Pistons wind up in the 7th or 8th draft spot I'd struggle to see how that's a bad thing. Picking up one eventual superstar in the draft doesn't equal a championship; there are 11 other guys that collectively are just as important, if not more so, than that superstar when it comes to winning a championship.
And if things go as hoped by the trade deadline he's not going to have any vets left anyway.

41.3 FG %, 31.3% 3PT % in 13 February games
39.5 FG%, 29.7 3PT% in 6 March games
Hasn't shot > 46% in 9 straight games
For further context, Grant has played 39 games this year. 19 of those fall within the above metrics of February/March.

If Grant wants to lead this young roster, and not just lead the team in scoring, he needs to average a couple more assists and about four or five less shots. He wanted to develop his game and expand his role... well, that's part of it, unless he just wants to be a crappier offensive Carmelo that actually plays defense. Still a good player, but he could be more.

I knew it had gotten bad but it really helps to see it laid out like that. His efficiency is still helped some by free throws, so it’s not QUITE as bad as that, but in confirms what we’ve known- he’s not a top scoring option.
He was playing above his head before February.
Gotta hope he’ll get to somewhere between early in the season and now.

I think Casey/Weaver wants to see if he is worth a cheap contract for the end of the bench SG/PG.
I dont get it. I dont think he is really any good, but maybe if he takes a near minimum contract he would be a good 3rd string SG?
Does he have a lot more room to develop?

Re: GAME 42: Bulls @ Pistons 7PM
We have plenty of games to lose ahead so why not give Frank some regular minutes for a bit to see if there's more there. This is the time to find out.
