No. Want no part of Kemba Walker and his awful contract.

No thanks on Kemba.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

So the Kings get the most intriguing talen that expires if they dont want him while getting rid of Barnes contract, the Celts get an expiring and the current best player, and the Bulls get an aging player and bad contract and a drama queen in Thompson. Sure, where do we sign?

I wonder how bad Coby, Wendell and Lauri's trade values have really tanked.

Bulls fan first, Celtics fan second...and heck I even root for Cs to beat the Bulls in tankalicious years (eg - 2017-2018).
So from the poster who is probably most empathetic to your cause that you’ll find here...no one wants Kemba’s contract.

We about 2-3 years too late for this trade.
Although I'm not as stuck on moving on from lauri and Otto porter jr the issue is I don't see the 2 guys we are getting as great upgrades. We just need more than what kemba and Tristan can give us and eating up the dollars to add guys who not moving much for us just not worth it.

Eh - maybe. I need a FRP (top-10 protected if need be) to accept, and full intel on Kemba’s health status. BOS and SAC are getting the clear gains here.
There’s been a huge drop in Kemba’s game. Wouldn’t be the first time a vet PG hinted health/age decline, but recovered (Conley, Paul, Dragic, Lowry as a matter of fact all had early 30s slumps and revivals). But Kemba was never as skilled outside of scoring, to begin with.

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
You could almost take Kemba Walker and his contract along with at least one FRP but there's no way the Bulls take on Thompson at the same time. Doubly so in the trade posted because they're giving up 2 forwards and getting back a guard and a center and shifting weight on the roster badly.
You've got the right idea. It's not about giving up so much to get Grant or Wood who never played to the level they have this year when they're beefing up their stats on tanking teams. The talent you want to see in your FO is the ability to see guys who have that kind of potential and sign them for the $11-15M range and have them explode for the Bulls when they get the chance to play meaningful minutes.
That's why I look at players like Kevin Knox who started out with some promise for the Knicks but as the team changed coaches and hit the skids didn't continue to improve. One story was the Hawks will match any offer for John Collins. Well then they're going to have too many wing players and centers under contract. Look at making a deal for some combination of Huerter, Hunter, Reddish, Bogdanovic, Gallanari, Okongwu because they can't play or keep all of them.
Few rated Patrick Williams to go #4 in the draft but the Bulls saw talent over the metrics and stats of a kid who didn't even start in college. Apply that same principle to identifying players with 1,2,3 years in the league who might have the stuff to more but have been held back by being on a losing team.
I just imagine that other teams would be happy to have those players and maybe put them in better situations than so many Bulls fan who have three views on Bulls players; superstars, great draft picks who might be superstars or BUSTERS. And never anything in between

We need to sign the next Grant or Wood in this FA but with so many team with money that will be tough.

I don't think Coby or Carter will even fetch a late 1st. You'd get back another underperforming young guy back (trash for trash).
Lauri has value and could net you a late lotto.

Yeah if anything happened why wouldn’t the Bulls just do an Otto for Barnes swap in some form. Not that Sacto wants Porter but he is off the books then and Barnes would help the Bulls today, although not the most glaring whole on the team he would shore up that wing position. Walker and Tristan. OMG no. No! No! No!

If, per the article, the Kings are looking to deal Barnes, we should be all over that.

People probably called Charlotte, GS & Minny about their guys too.
If I was a GM, I'd call Dallas every couple weeks just to make sure Luka was still off the table.

Anything Bulls related in the new Shams deadline report? It's looking more and more likely that we're headed towards a quiet deadline, which i'm not sure how to feel about lol

It's only Monday and so far none of the big moves have happened, so I'm not sure I'd rule anything out yet

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
TOR has gone from not trading Lowery to talk of him wanting to be a contender, the Heat and 76ers being possible destinations.
So the Bulls have the one thing, Otto Porter's expiring contract, to get in the middle of that. Much depends on what TOR really wants in return with the Heat it would have to be multiple players, older expiring and younger who Lowery removes the need for. PHIL it would seem like the usual Tobias Harris.
For the 76ers if they send some young player to TOR and Harris to the Bulls and end up with Lowery. Porter goes to TOR so they maintain cap space for next year and they get the young PHIL player.
The Heat might not need the Bulls in the deal if they send Dragic to TOR. But if that's not what TOR is looking for, again Porter ends up in TOR maybe with Nunn or Herro and the Bulls could get some combination of Robinson, Nunn, Iguodala and Herro
