If the heat gets Lowry without giving up to much, queue the undertaker gif.

“The other day I saw one of his games. He was running with the ball at a hundred per cent full speed, I don’t know how many touches he took, maybe five or six, but the ball was glued to his foot. It’s practically impossible.”

I don't know that I'd go that far. They'd be very mentally tough, but Brooklyn's taken could be overwhelming...iamworthy wrote:If the heat gets Lowry without giving up to much, queue the undertaker gif.

Raptors won’t trade him to Miami unless we get back Precious + 1st or Herro. Would still be worth it if Miami is seriously looking to make a push again this postseason

Supposedly, the Raptors have asked for either Robinson or Herro.PrinceAli wrote:iamworthy wrote:If the heat gets Lowry without giving up to much, queue the undertaker gif.

I would probably consider it.

I have a feeling Oladipo ends up in Toronto for Lowry, in a 3 or 4-way trade.PrinceAli wrote:iamworthy wrote:If the heat gets Lowry without giving up to much, queue the undertaker gif.

If Herro is indeed on the table, Raptors would be done to not go ahead with that. Not gonna get any better return in terms of a prospect

Really hope not. Not interested in Oladipo. Won’t be surprised if Miami makes a huge splash and lands both Lowry and Oladipo somehow tho

If we can though, fantastic. Bring in Aldridge from the buyout market, and go right at Brooklyn...

Idk much about your contracts and cap situation but aside from Goran do you have anything else that could match salaries for both Lowry and Oladipo? Like Olynyk + Iggy or something like that?

Philly should be able to get this deal if they want it. They have more assets. No way that Miami gives up Herro for a potential 2 months rental.
No way the Celtics give up Smart.
Is Evan Fournier going to become the next player that the Ainge almost traded for? Might be a good fit, although they still need a center, "cough" Myles Turner "cough"

theres this, i think philly wouldnt even have to give us maxey to get this done.
But they just give up all of their other assets lol? Multiple first round picks, some unprotected. And Tyrese Maxey? This is getting to the James Harden level without Ben SImmons. Lowry is a rental.
Well the guy says it would "be a steal" for the Raptors.
I don't think it's crazy for the Raptors to stake this out as an initial negotiating point. Thing is, there's not really much precedent for someone to give this much up for a 35 year old on an expiring contract. The Raptors a few years basically traded for a player in an identical point in his career in Gasol (who was also a "franchise icon") and didn't give this much. So either they come down to something more reasonable or they aren't really interested in trading him (which I get).

He would seem like a better fit for DAL than Drummond. Be the primary C off the bench as a good roll target

Re: Trade deadline report from Shams
You're talking $51.5 million in salary for the two players.PrinceAli wrote:BBallFreak wrote:I would. Not sure we can afford it.PrinceAli wrote:Really hope not. Not interested in Oladipo. Won’t be surprised if Miami makes a huge splash and lands both Lowry and Oladipo somehow tho

Dragic makes $18 million, Iggy makes $15 million, Olynyk makes $12 million, Harkless makes $3.6 million which totals $48.6 million.
We'd need to include both Robinson and Herro imo just to offer value to the other teams. We'd have to sign either LaMarcus Aldridge or DeMarcus Cousins just to fill out the frontcourt.
We'd end up looking like this afterward:
Pg: Lowry / Nunn
Sg: Oladipo / Bradley
Sf: Butler / Ariza
Pf: Aldridge / Achiuwa
Cc Bam / Silva
I suppose it's possible. Just not sure how probable.

I mean if you're trading for Lowry, you're getting him for another 2 seasons beyond this one basically. Im sure his agent will be talking to the organization to ensure they are on the same page with that. His production has not declined.

Re: Trade deadline report from Shams
If you're trading for Lowry you better be desperate.
He'll be a 35 year old PG and occasional allstar level. This isn't CP3, he could suck and might suck right now in a system that just has players deffering to him while they lose.

and old, that's the main problem. Do people really think that miami is willing to give a player like herro and draft capital for lowry?
.
Can’t see a scenerio where the Heat give up Herro and draft capital. It might be the opposite actually, if they include Herro then the Raps will kick in more.
And I know people are calling Lowry a rental, but he could agree to an extension before any trade is finalized and the team acquiring him will both be a destination he wants to play for and have his bird rights. It’s highly doubtful it ends up being a rental

Nurse is below average at best.
Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

How is it desperate to trade for a 2 way player who is currently averaging an efficient 18/6/7? He’s still one of the top 30-35 players in the entire league and probably the vest player available on the market right now so that doesn’t even make sense.
