Imagine being the Rockets best player and in your prime and your locked into making half of what players on your level are making, being frozen out of plays on an almost historicly bad team

20 game losing streaks are unprecedented and its hard for everyone to keep their composure when dealing with that. This was a winnable game for them so i understand the frustration thats leaking from the players. I wouldnt mind these frustrations being leaked from the coach a bit. The main problem for the Rockets right now is that they have zero leadership, from the front office to the coaches to the players. Imagine if a top pick got drafted into this mess next year?

Lots of panic sellers for the Rockets. This year is a write off, they're building for the future. Just because it's a **** show now, that doesn't mean it will be that in the future.

You know I really was scratching my head wondering why the wizards were willing to give up a 1st to get off of Wall's deal and thinking was it that bad? The good part for the Wizards is that the pick pro. is as follows: top 14 pro. in 23, top 12 pro. in 24, top 10 pro. in 25 and top 8 pro. in 26. If it doesn't convey it becomes 2 2nds in 26+27.

Apparently Ernie Grunfeld gave Wall that contract extension 2 years before the 5 year max he signed in 2013 was set to exp. when he played 78 games and averaged 23.7pts/10.7asts/4rbs/2stls a game that year. Then he plays only 73 games the next 2 years and missed all of last year. Boy did that move backfire on them. And it didn't help that there was apparent friction between Wall and Beal. I'll forever scratch my head at how Leonsis allowed Grunfeld to stay at the helm and let Otto Porter Jr. go for cap relief when other teams were willing to offer better packages centred around matching salary+prospects+picks. To me, Wall's deal ended up being Gilbert Arenas 2.0 minus Gil going loco and bringing guns into the building.

The only team I could've seen who would've been willing to eat Wall's deal would've been OKC but Presti understandingly would've demanded the Rockets remove protections on all outgoing swaps+picks to eat Wall's deal as they had the contracts+matching salary to make it work. Obviously you wouldn't do that if you were the Rockets.

They are really screwed as they are praying that John Wall deludes himself into thinking he's better than he actually is and opts out of 47M to test FA(dumb move to do so but anything's possible).

Increasingly, guys are opting in and then offering to take a buyout.

Cleveland when lebron left for Miami.
Jordan won 203 games and three championships in his last three seasons in Chicago. The following three years they won a total of 45 games. Dynasty to Dumpster.

Just saw the the play he’s whining about. Wall made the right play and had a point blank layup but dort had an amazing close out to block it. I thought he took a contested jumper the way this board has reacted.

Wood wasn’t going to get a better shot off. Wood is a 25 year old journey man calling out vets I can see why he’s bounced around.

This journeyman is averaging an efficient 22/10 and is currently a much, much better player than John Wall. That’s not even up for debate.

Plus I’m not exactly sure what John Wall had done this season to be above criticism? He seems to still think he’s the pre-injury John Wall to the detriment of his team. Dipo and Wall have been chucking up tons of shots this season at a very inefficient clip. That’s not winning basketball.

I thought Wood was talking about the final play?

Final play was Wall taking a contested 3 pointer.

I'd imagine things would be very different for the rookie. The Rockets started off the year with 2 unhappy superstars, an unhappy role player/leader, and a new coach. Then they brought in Wall and Cousins who haven't exactly been great leaders themselves. Then they added Oladipo who has no interest in staying. Silas stood no chance this year. The environment the rookie would come into would be very different.

I owe Harden an apology, Houston is such a dumpster fire that I don’t blame him for demanding out

Christian Woods is one of the only pieces Houston needs to keep. There is no reason to believe he's going to become available unless he request a trade and I don't believe that's likely.
