Trade deadline - what moves do the Dubs make?
The trade deadline is rapidly approaching and the league rumors are heating up.
What type of moves do you see the FO making? Big time move including Wiggins, Wismeman and the Minny pick, medium type move with Oubre and the centerpiece, or a small type of move waving or trading or Wannamaker for a conditional second rounder with heavy protection.
I don't see a blockbuster trade happening at the deadline and would prefer they move Oubre/pieces for a Lonzo/Bogdan type player who they would have contract control over and who would fit with the team short term and long term. Wave or trade Wannamaker to keep playing time for Poole/Mannion. Maybe Boston would want Brad for the rest of the season?

If Bogdon is available, then you go for that.
But no one talks about Fornier on the Magic, but he would fit our scheme perfectly. and hes an easier get.

Don't you think that Poole is starting to fill that role?
I would go for Lonzo/A.Gordon to get more passing on the roster to make up for Livingston/Igoudala/Bogut.

I had not thought of Fournier but he is an UFA at the end of the season like Oubre so not too much of a benefit as far as control.
I would much prefer Lonzo or Bogdan.

I like the idea of Gordon—if we can keep Wiseman or the Minnesota pick—but then someone has to come off the bench next year. It's not gonna be Draymond, and it seems unlikely it's Wiggins so it's probably Gordon...not sure if he's OK with that. But it would give Kerr a lot of options blending Wiggins/Gordon/Draymond, or playing all of them with Draymond at C for short spurts. Steph/Klay/Wiggins/Gordon/Draymond would be quite the small ball wrecking crew.

Trade wiseman/minny pick - only for a Beal type
Trade future 1sts but not wiseman/minny pick - I'd do this for Collins, maybe Gordon if pick is protected
Oubre + paschall - I'd do this package for anything I think is a quality rotation piece under contract next year that is better than Oubre or Paschall. Examples would be Thad Young, Satoransky, Cedi Osman and Nance.

Re: Trade deadline - what moves do the Dubs make?
Bogdan's contract, as it stands right now, is slightly negative value. He also has a trade kicker that would add 980K for this year and 2.7M the next two years; the last year of his contract doesn't count because it's a player option.
I would not give a first. Oubre and Paschall is as high as I'd go. If Bogdan won't waive the trade kicker, I'd ask the Hawks to take back Wanamaker also.

I selected the second....Oubre perhaps.
I think he's the odd guy out personality wise.
But the guys out there...Bogdan.....Aron Gordan...I just don't see them as guys this year that make the difference or adding longer term value to a more championship like team...?

I'm still of the opinion that Oubre could net a very low first round pick. If that is possible, he's got to be moved. Moving Wanamaker would be addition by subtraction. Not sure if it's possible, but I'd also love to get a look see at Jessup this year so that we can expect whether he'll be due for a full roster spot or just a two way next season.

I'd move Wanamaker and Paschall, and see what we can get for Oubre.
I'm still for a Oubre-Lonzo swap.

If flipping Oubre for a late first round pick 2021, maybe package Wiseman + Late 2021 draft pick + unprotect 2022 (We're surely gonna lose out on getting top 5 2021 pick since Minny will land eiterh 1 -3) for an Allstar? Will that be enough?

Re: Trade deadline - what moves do the Dubs make?
The teams that have late FRP are not going to give one up for Oubre. What role do they put him in? One he has no track record of success in?
At this point just hope we move him and that we dont move him for a stupid win now move, like trading him + an asset for somelike Aaron Gordon.. I'm keeping expectations real low on this one

I can see AG wanting to play in his home area. Could be a nice attachment to a wiseman or minny pick if we feel like it

That ship has sailed for good, as the other team also has to like the deal.

The East has seven teams currently ranked #4 through #10 that are only separated by 2 1/2 games in the standings. With reasonable protections put in place, I can absolutely see one of them willing to part with a low first round pick in order to separate themselves from the pack.

I think we're all in an agreement that this is a development year (Even so from last year due to injuries). And I wouldn't be opposed of a Gordon trade if it rids us of Wiggins (And not attaching Minny's RFP and Wiseman). He'd be an expiring $16.5 mil contract next year, too. And perhaps this offseason, we can package a deal of Minny's FRP + Wiseman + Gordon and other assets that we see fits and makes sense for an Allstar.

Re: Trade deadline - what moves do the Dubs make?
This cracked me up...
https://www.yahoo.com/sports/report-warriors-had-talks-orlando-050009746.html
The Magic are seeking a mix of young players and first-round picks for Gordon.
That's plural players and picks. So, what do they want...Poole and Paschall and multiple first rounders from us...for Aaron freaking Gordon!?

I'm taking things for a grain of salt for what Yahoo reports. Yeah, they're 2nd to last in the East, and they're asking young pieces and picks? Which means their current assets have since depreciated in value. Chase Center's Big Nate's BBQ's brisket sandwich has more value than Gordon, LOL.

Doesnt really address the issue though. Playoff teams pay for top of the line role players... what's Oubre? What does he do that you can count on?

Im not against the acquisition if we dont give up assets. I would not trade EP, I would not trade Poole, I would not trade GS 1st 2021... none of it. If we acquire him for Wiggins or Oubre, ok, I can get down with that. But they certainly wont take Wiggins and would only take Oubre if they were desperate for capspace, which I dont think they are.
I'm saying I'd give up nothing to acquire him because he doesnt move the needle, and I dont want to buy high on a guy who's another streaky 3pt shooter.. would definitely prefer Bogie
