I had him real high on my Big Board, top half of the lottery, because he'd have been the perfect replacement for when Theis left. 6'9" great length, good defender who can PnR dive and pick and pop. Perfect fit really. Of course, abysmal drafting Danny Ainge passed on him 4 times. Let that sink in. He chose to trade out of the #30 pick and then take a draft and stash, over Paul Reed (and others). It almost completely negated his great Pritchard and Nesmith picks. The guy just can't get out of his own way. It's uncanny. This buffoon thought to himself "yeah, I'd rather have a 5'11" SG (Edwards) and a 6'6" PF (Williams) and a roided out Semi, than a guy with legit size/length for his position" So stupid. This is why we'll continue to be pretenders for as long as Ainge is our G.M.

I did like Reed too. And he made sense considering everything we thought we knew about what Brad and Danny like here. Long, athletic, rangy 6'9 types who can shoot and defend. And we took Grant who seems to be the complete opposite. That just made no sense to me at all. And now Ainge is out here looking for shooting with size. We don't even draft shooting with size.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

The Miami Heat are trying to do their big things again to be noticed.

They are dangling quality players.

One of them, unknown to most as he plays in Florida, has averaged 2 steals per game the past month, plus he is a 7-footer who passes and hits 3s.

Games of 4 steals, 3 steals, 3 steals.

Went to Gonzaga. Might be Canadian.

Someone to watch.

We could even have had him at 47 for crying out loud. Could have 2-way'ed him instead of Tremont.
At one point I was willing to take him 14, so I'm a little crazy, but.... man, I wanted to come out of the last 2 drafts with Clarke, Claxton and Reed and I got Grant, Edwards and Madar.

Ty Jerome went 5-5 from the three, 6 assists 1 TO, continuing the tradition of unheralded UVA players becoming solid contributors. Saw him hit one from about 28 feet out.
Could've had him at #22 in 2019.

Siakam just got fined $50K for cussing out Nick Nurse. I would like to send him $5 to help pay that fine, because I’m sure we’ve all cussed out Nick Nurse at some point in our lives.

Btw, if I were you guys, I wouldn't hope for Siakam. I doubt Raptors are trading him. Also, as I wrote few pages back, Ujiri is basically Danny without the reputation so I trade with him would mean Ainge would have to bend over really hard.
Good assessment:

Τoronto really messed up waiting for Antetokounmpo. The Siakam-Antetokounmpo pairing wouldn't work either way. It was a stupid thing to think of and even more stupid to wait for Antetokounmpo when it was clear that he had no intention to leave MKE. They doubled up the mistakes by letting ibaka walk.
Now they are stuck with a worse version of Antetokounmpo in Siakam and the corpse of Baynes. To top all of this, Ujiri will walk.
What a mess.

Saw this coming from a mile off. The guy is clearly a good coach, but his act has to wear thin pretty quickly. You can't behave like a child night in and night out and expect your players to respect you.

The Sixers are winning games without Embiid while we were blaming losing streaks on Smart being out. Lol

No KD, No Kyrie, No Problem for the Nets as they still win beating Por in Por. for a team that was said not to have a bench or play defense, they sure win a lot of games.

Harden is just a playmaking god. He would have made us 100% legit, but he probably wouldn't have stayed here so I'm not that beat up about not getting him

So I bet a parlay and needed the NYK to win. NY losing by 17 in the 3rd but came ack to win. and what a freakin intense defense they displayed. some decent D talent, but much more intensity than ability. they played like I wish Boston would play with.

Blame Stevens, Tatum, Brown, Smart or all the above. Playing with an edge is way more a need than any trade right now. No freakin excuses not be playing like this in every 4th quarter.

The Sixers means business! They have a pretty solid balanced starting 5. Embiid, Harris, simmons, green, curry. Their bench have reliable scorers and defenders.
Howard, Scott, milton, George hill, Korkmaz, thybulle.
and we have a bunch of unproven midgets at every position in our bench! Lol
