Scottie Barnes is nice...wouldn't mind him on this team.

wait so it's ok to to hire someone's dad as a coach 1 year before his sons are eligible to be recruited and that's not considered a recruiting violation?

So has the NCAA tournament changed the appraisals of the top prospects.
Guess Mobley and Suggs' teams face off.

If the Warriors end up at 4 I can only hope that some the top 3 go Cade, Mobely and Green...Suggs is ideal

They do have a timeout.
Decide not to use it.

Shot was huge but it was luck, a bank?
The defenders weren’t going to contest too hard because it was a long shot because they didn’t want to risk fouling him.

With that shot, our chances of landing suggs at 4 or 5 are gone

He's 50/33/76.7 for the season.
Good rebound numbers for a guard his size but his Assist to TO isn't great.
I don't know, seems more about potential? Does a subaverage shooter in college improve in the NBA?
No doubt if he stayed in college a couple more seasons, he could boost his efficiency. But then again, he's suppose to have the athletic tools so he could develop better efficiency in the NBA too.

High volume shooters who take a lot of threes off the dribble who are above league average from three 3 are rare. Steph, Harden, Lillard and Kemba, pre Boston, were pretty much the only guys to take a TON of threes off the dribble and shoot above league average on that quantity. Steph is obviously the god tier, Dame has only crossed the 40% threshold once, Harden I think has been under 40% for most years. Luka shot it at 32.7 and 31.7 % his first two years and is now finally at league average 37%.

Seems like green and kuminga will be at 4 and 5. I think I like green better at this point but feel like kuminga may be a better positional fit.
With our pick I feel like I want davion Mitchell or franz Wagner or Corey kispert.
But damn well be really young next year if we add both rookies to the rotation.
Curry/klay/Wiggins/dray/wiseman
Mitchell/Green/Poole/Oubre/Looney

Green and Kuminga seem to have very similar games. I think I give Green a sight edge because he’s a bit more polished at the offensive end and Kuminga is a bit of a chucker at times.

I see Suggs, Green, Kuminga and Mobley as pretty interchangeable from the 2 through 5 (for now) and I would be happy with any of them. Mobley would be the one who I want the most since he can play the 4 and 5 and we need a Draymond successor and Mobley would be able to play next to Wiseman as our twin towers.

I can see Green going #4 and Kuminga going at #5, but I think there is a pretty big drop-off from Green to Kuminga. I think Green will be ready to go from day 1 and Kuminga will take a little longer to be what we need him to be.

Re: 2021 Draft Prospects Thread: Send in what you find
Kuminga will be able to score right away, if we wanted someone who could score from power forward he is it. I do see the Paskal comparison but I also see some Julius Randle since he’s a high motor offensive guy with a power game. But our teams current 3 point shooting and trying to get more outside shooting seems like a head ache.
Suggs would be great since he has that ability to make guys better, and that could really elevate our guys. Livingston was the same way, just a guy who could make guys better with high IQ floor general play and passing.
Green would be a good fit, seems the most 3 ball capable and that’s a huge deal. Anthony Edwards is starting to play really well but scouts are saying Green is even better, which makes me wonder if he could go #2.
I don’t see Mobley or Cunningham dropping.
Kispert I like with our own pick, he’s a really smart savvy scorer who can really shoot. We need more pure basketball players like Kispert and less athletes learning to play.
I still like Dosonmu with our own pick, he’s just got that D’Aaron Fox downhill speed. His relentlessness attacking the hoop on the break and in the half court would be incredibly refreshing. We don’t have a real spark plug.
Either combo and I would be very excited with the Minny pick and our own:
Suggs and Kispert
Green and Dosonmu
Suggs and Kispert seem like Steve Kerr Warriors guys. Green and Dosonmu probably a higher ceiling combo.

Cunningham has size, slow foot speed, can plug into what this team needs at the moment, his spirit is not the same as the Warriors big three though
Mobley, defensive project, pick one, either him or Wiseman not sure they can coexist
Suggs would fit into the team like Barbosa used to
Green athletic talent, awkward, never had a player like him these past five years
Kuminga should be groomed for Dray’s point forward spot and Dray should take Iguodala’s old spot.

Where is everyone on Moody? I think he's my favorite outside the top 5 (and I dont really like Kuminga for the W's)
I love seeing Bassey drop on mocks too..if you can get a guy like that for us in the late 1st, that's beautiful.. he'd basically be a young version of the McGee/Zaza type C and locked in for 4 years. Just rebound, dunk, and set screens.
For example, I'd be all over a trade like this:
#13
Wiseman
Looney
for
Christian Wood
Danuel House
Rockets SRP (Bassey)
I'd be all over that.. and then hope Green falls to us at 4 or 5 (Mobley and Cade have to be #1/2 IMO)
Curry / Poole / Mannion
Klay / Green / Poole
Wiggins / Klay / Lee
Draymond / EP
Wood / Bassey
And then use a mini MLE on a PF/C.. yup I'm all aboard on that. Its not a guaranteed winner, but I think we'd have an overpowering 5 man guard/SF rotation of Curry/Klay/Wiggins/Green/Poole.
I'd also be bothering Toronto to see what Boucher cost.. if we could do a deal for Boucher using the #13 (Looney + 13), that would be perfect as well.

Top tier is and has been Cade, Suggs, and Mobley.we aren’t getting those guys.
Next three to me is Green, Kuminga, and Barnes
I’d take Green but I’d have to understand that his timeline doesn’t fit either. But his shooting impressed and I think he’ll fill out just fine as he matures.
Kuminga has the legit man body and makes sense for our front court. Can play both forward spots. I think his shooting will improve, but he has a ways to go as well.
What Barnes lacks in shooting is more than made up for with his guard skills and defense. He’s a legit 6’9” and long. He can play point guard for you, but guards three positions. Good rebounder and just a solid glue guy. I love him. I would hope the shot comes around but who knows.

Re: 2021 Draft Prospects Thread: Send in what you find
As for our pick......I’m off Kispert and I feel that Jessup is going to be better and a bit more versatile than Corey. I would take him, but Justinian is gonna help Klay ease back into it.
I’m loving Butler or Mitchell from Baylor. I was on Butler at the beginning of the year and he hovered out of the lottery for a long time. I haven’t looked recently, but I have to think he’s risen the boards after the tourney.
Mitchell is just a dog beast. I love dog beasts.
I also like Springer and if those other dudes are gone, I’m all in on him.

I can see Barnes in a draymond role. I just think green has the highest upside of the 3.
Suggs is fine I hope he goes in the top 3. My biggest hope is for Cade or Mobley to fall to 4. That would be amazing.
