Need to trade for a 2nd rounder. It was used as a salary dump for Greg Monroe I believe. :banghead:

Getting a developmental big like Queta, Hukporti, or Huff in the second would be great.

Or Bassey.
But we have no 2nd round pick.

Bassey reminds me of Deandre Jordan with FT shooting, who was also drafted in the 2nd round.

I am not sure he is as quick as Jordan, but perhaps better and cheaper than Baynes for a backup C role.
As he can stretch the floor a bit, he can probably play with Boucher.

I am still preferring Kia Jones or Isaiah Jackson (905 first year, as they need much better footwork), but wouldn't mind adding a backup C at the same time.

After watching Donovan Mitchell repeatedly torch Toronto it brought me back to searching out his closest comp in the draft.

Last night we saw Deuce McBride go off for 30 looking like a clear NBA level athlete.

Great mid range pull ups, unafraid of contact, high-flying dunks, digs in for steals. This guy is a gamer. He might end up late lottery by the end of the tournament.

every time he scores a 2 point fg ... "he drops another deuce..."

ah so good. i'm sold, just for the name itself.

I don't see him breaking down the defense nor demand double team, so I am not sure he can be the 1st option.
I hope to see him drove past his man, otherwise, it isn't even close at Donovan Mitchell, who can almost shake off OG.

I think Cade has the highest floor, but maybe lower ceiling than the other top prospects. With his size, all-around game, and high BBall IQ, just can't see him being a bust. So should be the safest choice, but I agree not as tantalizing as some other prospects.

I was never impressed with Harden back in the day. He looked too big and sluggish to be the player he reputed to be.

Have to trust scouts to know best. Of course, not Pistons scouts.

Great comp. Size, ball-handing, craftiness, strength. And if he has the same amount of dog in him a PP had.....

But we have no 2nd round pick.

This is why we absolutely need to get a throw in second rounder in any deal for Powell or Lowry.

Boston has 39 and 45
Philly has 46 and 59

A bunch of mock drafts right now have us taking Kai Jones, and honestly, I'd be fine with that (assuming we don't end up with a top 5 pick).

He's very raw, so he would need some good ol' Raptors development time, but he moves really well on defence, has decent shooting form for a big man, shows some good playmaking instincts (although he jumps to pass too much), and seems to have great passion for the game. If he lands on a team that knows how to develop players, I have no doubt that he'll end up being a very good two-way big in the NBA.

Even his brother looks like he could be like a Hernangomez level player. Get him next year with a 2nd pick?

Easy 4 for 6, #6 seed taking down #3 Kansas. Evan had 5 assists and 1 turnover. Why can't Cade do that?

Change title to Kuminga/Mobley

They've always been the top 2 choices for us

I like Mobleys game alot but I've already voiced my concerns about his carrying a team, and I won't lie the idea of us being a farm team for the LA teams is a legit worry.

But strictly basketball speaking these are the guys.

Cade hype is just based on popularity. People who follow this stuff know its the Kuminga/Mobley draft.

I'm surprised so many people are on Kuminga train (Who I like). I just thought Green looked much better than him during the ignite games. Green IMO has everything you'd want from a Shooting guard. Huge fan of Mobley though and have him ahead of everyone atm personally. Subject to change obviously with Tourney/combines.

i think as long as we surround him with a similar or slight lower level wing player, we'll be alright. get him his 10-15 attempts a game and let him anchor the defense.

Siakam really needs to work on his shooting. if the Raps somehow get Mobley, Siakam needs to improve his shot immensely. FVV and OG are perfect compliments to Mobley.

but in truth, Raps need someone of Powell's scoring ability to take over games but have Lowry's all around game and defense - and we don't have to worry about the flaws of FVV, OG, and Siakam lmao - i would even say a player who is slight downgrade of Kawhi would be okay lol.
