Sounds like I may be pleasantly surprised with the oladipo return

If they were getting those offers, Oladipo would already be dealt. Sounds a lot like they’re trying to drum up offers in the media.
You may be right about the latter part but the logic of the former always bugs me. It's just not how this stuff works. If that were true the deadline would be extremely slow every season because everyone would've gotten their trades done a long time ago. If you have deals you do not think will dry up right at the deadline, it is in your best interest to wait it out and see if someone ups their offer at the last minute to get it done. Deadlines make people put their final offers on the table.

Seems like the team best positioned for that would be the New York Knicks.

While true, if the Knicks take Bledsoe and intend to re-sign Ball, then they end up with the exact same problem the Pelicans have now.

New Orleans may want to dump Bledsoe in a Ball deal but it's hard to imagine any one team wanting to take both and inherit that situation. So extra teams required, I guess.

LA, Demar, and Rudy Gay. Anyone want these guys? Really hope the Spurs trade them in the next 48 hrs but I bet none will be.

Am I just suffering from trade drought or is this shaping up to be one heck of a deadline?

I still think Bledsoe could contribute to the right squad.

Deadlines spur action, but teams also don’t look a gift horse in the mouth and send it away, for fear it may not return.

Weird vote to me. We already traded most of our valuable assets last offseason. We have basically Hill/Muscala/Williams to trade to get some 2nds round picks.

Our only issue is that we are overperforming and unlikely to get a high draft pick but don't get why we should make a move.

Agree about Orlando. They are going to some nice value for their players in order to make a good rebuild.

Un(?)popular opinion.

Woj sometimes does puff for people. Like when Cousins is being cut but is super highly desirable per Woj. I feel like when Woj does a puff, it sticks out. It is superlative filled versus short and let me type faster than Shams. Or it reads like a nbacentral headline: Lots interested, bidding war!!!!!

I saw this tweet (yes like 4 pages later), and my first thought was, sounds like the market is flat and needs to be drummed up.

Maybe I'm wrong and I hate to post this and encourage the 'Woj said my team is shopping and wants to move _____ but I like him so its Woj spins arguments'. But yeah, I am a touch skeptical, even though I absolutely think Oladipo moves Thursday. And not before Thursday.

Having suffered through his play this season, I find it highly unlikely.

Maybe he is just dogging it because he doesn't want to be in NOLA, but you have no idea just how abysmal he has been. Just freaking awful, he makes my eyes bleed.

Texas Chuck wrote:My good friends in Coca Cola land are going to get mad at me, but with Gallo playing so well and seemingly plenty of demand, I would still be trading John Collins even with this winning streak.

Gallo may be playing well but as always, the injury bug will bite him - he was unable to finish the game (9 minutes left in 4th Q) last night after banging knees. Now we wait to see how much time he will miss, sigh!
I don't trust him as the starting PF.

No, it would be the Celtics since they have a record breaking $28.5 mil TPE.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Does anyone else remember when Chuck got like 4 pages of grief that Bledsoe was as good as Jrue? Poor Chuck.

Edit: To be clear, I am absolutely not saying it was from you. Just read this and start laughing remembering.
