They can "restrain" all they want and then lose to the nets or any other team and cry about it when they could have gotten Lowry or even Norm. Lol feels nice knowing we won in the modern NBA and are just coming off a very successful 7 years and now we're just unloading and going into the hyberbolic time chamber until we come out guns blazing.

This season is done
we win if we come out with 2 first round picks for these rentals
Are you insane... Who's talking about this season?I'm talking about going forward, you think 2 late 1st rounders are going to right the ship of our offense. If we don't get tangible players if/when we trade Lowry & Powell we're screwed going forward, and a couple late first crapshoots doesn't change that.
thats what the offseason will be for, apx 20 mil cap space, mid lotto pick, trades.

Yup, he wants destination and the big cash. He can’t have both.
He will end up back in Toronto for top dollar.....watch.
I think Lowry wants 2/50 from Toronto but will settle for 2/40 with Philly or Miami.....he'll take a discount for his home city or for the Miami weather.
The contract demands probably means it is more likely he ends up in Miami, as the tax situation in Florida means Miami can offer less and meet Lowry expectations for his take home pay. Does it hurt how much they will offer Raps though?

The Kawhi trade in the early hours of the morning felt surreal.

It is nice seeing the Lowry-less 76ers blowing a huge lead against the Curry-less Warriors. Every bit helps.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

no. what do they care? they'll be over the cap regardless of whether they pay lowry 20 or 25M per year.

Woj also mentioned they're working trades on "Multiple Fronts".
Have to assume some other teams not mentioned have also contacted about Lowry. My guess is Denver or Dallas

I decided to stop at a bar on the way home for a solo drink. I never do that.
Was pretty pissed and ended up drinking myself stupid. Not one of my prouder moments.

If both Sixers and Heat are reluctant to pay Lowry too much putting them in tax territory, Miami has a huge benefit because of the state's tax laws.

it might be part of the lowry to miami, and dragic(danny green if 76ers) flipped somewhere, but its one thing that every reports says, masai will let lowry have some say in where he goes, and i cant imagine lowry agreeing to dallas/denver when 76ers/heat are at the table.

I think you have more optimism of this year's (attainable) 'difference maker' free agent class then I do, and outside of Fred, OG & Siakim we don't really have any trade assets, unless we start dealing our picks which I don't think we should do.

Re: Stein/KOC - Heat most interested in Kyle, 76ers/clippers also interested
I think we're gonna end up doing well because we're pitting 2 other top teams in the East that want to at minimum be the ones to make a Conference Finals vs the Nets and give themselves atleast a chance to actually make the Finals....that is leverage.
The team that doesn't act risks being on the outside looking in.
I will say though I feel like Morey is more the type of GM/Prez to fold than Riley. I just have a hard time believing he'll part with Herro and as such imo rhe MIA deal is not that attractive.
I think Paul Reed is of similar intrigue as Achuiwa and Thybulle is more desirable than either him or Robinson imo and I'd much rather a pick right now than one in 3-4 years. I understand that Heat pick would have more potential to be higher but while I'm team "tank" actuality only really would like to be in the top 5 this year and if we were end of lotto again next year I'm not mad because I think our scouting department would find a superstar and basically his 2nd option with an excellent supporting cast ie/ the supposed "new core" but that's a different topic.
The bottomline is I'm for a quicker rebuild with young assets and unless MIA is giving Herro, I actually like PHI's players better.

If Lowry is traded I sure hope he doesn't take a page out of his friend, Rudy's book. "They're going a different direction clearly" I expect better from Lowry
As for Norm. I'll be sad to see him go no lie, he's like a kid similar to T Ross watching him grow up before our eyes and put so much heart and work into our team.. fought against people and didn't take crap from opponents.
