What happen to Murray? Didn't u guys hype him up to be the "next star PG" what happen to that? Or what about MPJ i thought he was going to break out? Either way Nuggets have a great supporting cast. For the nets, KD has missed half the season and Kyrie takes games off when he wants, also Nets gave away alot of depth for Harden . Harden has elevated the Nets .And his numbers look better than Jokic

Jalen Rose reducing Jokic to an afterthought-
"From beginning to end excluding the players with injury, I'd have to say Giannis when I have the remote control in my hand has been the most valuable. I say Dame Lillard from beginning to end has been 2nd and then without LeBron without Embiid, James Harden probably 3rd along with the Joker."

Respect to Harden, dude has been unbelievable. The race is really tight though between Dame, Harden, and Jokic.

Sadly Embiid and LeBron are more then likely out of it.

Jokic is going to be the MVP

There's no doubt in my mind. All you harden fans are like the ESPN talking heads: clueless.

Nuggets have had their fair share of injuries to key rotational players.

Gary Harris, starting SG and best perimeter defender, has missed 24 games this year.
Paul Millsap, starter, has missed 10.
MPJ, starter, has missed 10.
JaMychal Green, 6th man, has missed 12.
Monte Morris, backup PG, has missed 10.

Jokic has been the only constant, playing in all 43 games. Harden's raw numbers aren't really better than Jokic's either. Harden is only leading Jokic in assists. But Jokic leads Harden in PPG, RBs, Steals, shooting percentages. If you look at advanced numbers, it's not even close. Jokic is steamrolling Harden.

Jeff green was hurt a few games
Nic Claxton just recently came off an injury

Jokic has had a better supporting cast then Harden has excluding Kyrie. And Nets still has a better record .

KD has missed most of the year and Kyrie takes games off when he feels like it but Harden has elevated and kept this Nets team by the top of the standings. Now with Lebron down for some time and Embiid as well I think Harden is the clear cut MVP if he finishes the season the way he's been playing. The guy is just an elite offensive player as a scorer and passer. Words cannot express how spectacular this guy is.

Why don't you make a poll instead of shoving your opinion down people's throats by opening a thread like this? And why don't you use the stickied MVP topic instead of opening a new topic? Because you don't like the poll results and the arguments over there? Nobody's buying what you're selling, deal with it.

wow u sound triggered

Maybe think about what you did to make me triggered, and why people people agree with me by and’1-ing me, instead of focusing on my emotional state. But judging by your posts, you probably ain’t inclined to do some introspection.

Look at Murray’s game log and come back and tell me how great of a Robin he is. Porter missed some time and took a handful of games to get reintegrated. Denver also plays/player Millsaps reanimated corpse, Gary the forgot-how-to-shoot shooting guard Harris, journeyman like Green, Morris...hardly a stacked cast of talent if we are being serious here.

Sure Brooklyn has a better record but KD is responsible for a number of those wins while Harden was busy tanking games in Houston.

Brooklyn without Harden is still a very good team. Denver without Jokic would be a sub .500 team.

The 9th seed in the West is better than the 4th seed in the East. Team record this season isn't going to be the defining narrative when COVID has messed with the availability of so many players. Harden was 3-5 before he pushed his way out of Houston. Record is all you got, Jokic blows Harden out of the water in all else.

It's not even close Jokic should be the front runner for MVP right now. His stats, advanced stats and efficiency are through the roof. He's having one of the best seasons of all time. Harden becoming an overnight favorite when some other big names went down just screams narrative and big market attention. Jokic isn't the sexy pick for MVP but he does deserve it.

Some of the narrative surrounding the media giving less credibility to Jokic has to be the Nuggets record. They should have been a lock for a top 3 seed and have sort of underwhelmed. If the Nuggets can lock a top 3 seed, I guarantee you will hear more Jokic in conversations.

That said, Harden is doing some impressive things with no KD, rookie coach and new team. The man is a one man wrecking crew. No other player carries teammates better than Harden other than Lebron.

Adam Stern wrote:James Harden may be making his most compelling case for MVP yet.
And that's really saying something for a guy who has literally been at the top of MVP voting for nearly a decade.

Right now it's Jokic, Harden, then everybody else. If the Nuggets fall any further away from a top 4 seed that could tank Jokic's chances.

How could Harden possibly be more compelling than last year. Or the year before last? Or his MVP year? What?

it has always been about team record. If the Nuggets don't get higher in the win column Jokic won't be the first or last advanced stat darling to get jobbed.
