OKC would be an excellent trade partner.
Harrell, Kuzma, SRPs for Hill, Muscala, Kenrich
Schroeder, KCP, LeBron, Davis, Drummond
Hill, THT, Caruso, Kenrich, Muscala
Matthews, Dudley, McKinnie, Markieff, Gasol

You downgrade massively giving Kuzma up for that trash. And Hill is one of the biggest playoff choke jobs there is. People talk about jr but the only reason JR got put in that spot is Hill froze up

They are still after Marcus Smart as Dunn is a sick note and Rondo is Rondo.

That trash are all shooting 3s better than any Laker.
I think it's likely you haven't watched Muscala and Kenrich play this season.

My dream scenario ... would love to take Wes, Dennis, and THT all together with cash and picks and trade them for Lavine. Then sign Drummond
Lavine / Caruso
KCP / Kuzma
Lebron / Kieff
AD / Harrell
Drummond / Marc
McKinnie and Dudley are 11 and 12 ... Jones gets hired for 13 on a pro rated min ... Cook gets spot 14 on a pro rate min
You got your minimum of 14. The Lakers got their wing with guard skills who can shoot, jump, dribble, and they cut their rotation down. He’s young and keeps getting better and is your starting 1 but defends the SG. KCP chases the point guards and already knows how to play with Drummond from Detroit.
Alex gets spot minutes behind Lavine to rest him for 15-20 mins at a time. Kuzma replaces KCP and stays solely on the wing where he is a rebound monster, his shot is respectable, and he defends isos good, like a mock Danny Green. Kieff gets spots minutes to spread the floor for Bron or AD and he’s earned that as he’s actually produced every game sonde AD has been out. Marc gets less minutes off the bench but can facilitate the second unit and keep Trez floor spread while also defending the 5 so Trez doesn’t have to. And on a bench with Marc, Caruso, Kuz, and Kieff ... Trezz will eat and you don’t have to wonder if Wes will brick a shot or pass up a layup or if tht will give the ball up or be lost defensively on when to switch, recover, and the like.
I’d happily turn those three into Lavine.
Hell if Indiana would do it I would replace THT with Caruso and turn them into Brogdon too so he could be 50 40 90 again
......
If Lowry lowered his extension number I would happily do Dennis, Harrell, Wes, and McKinnie for Lowry too with his extension, picks, and cash
Lowry / Caruso
KCP / Kuz
Bron / THT
AD / Kieff
Drummond / Marc
Would also be a different kind of dynamic. Toronto badly wants a center and need a pg replacement ... so they may be willing to take both Dennis and Harrell and pay them.

I'd be more worried about Lavine sinking the entire defense on his own but I'd guess he has more value than that, considering he's the most exciting player they've had since prime Derrick Rose.

Lavine is fine one on one defensively. He gets hurt as a team defender but who has coached him? And then he’s played with Towns who is awful on that end and in Chicago where a lot of guys are bottom league defenders who Billy Donovan has said he was working with one by one to improve the habits they have been taught.
They want a point guard. And they want to know if Lavine will sign an extension or not this summer. Donovan also wants a vet which is why he moved Young to starting pf and has tried to figure out who he wants as his 3 since Porter has been in his dog house.
We can give them the pg who wants money, we can also give them a starting Sg in tht, and the culture vet in Matthews. I know it’s pipe but it would be the best fit for our needs. Lavine is a killer off the dribble, can attack the rim, is a microwave bucket, and he shreds the Clippers and Utah which is a plus.

I’ve watched muscala suck as a sixer when needed. I’ve also watched him suck as a clipper and laker too. Lights are too bright for him.

And the hawks are in the playoffs so it’s about to be Rondo season ... he’s go be excellent for that team in the playoffs like with the pelicans, bulls, Celtics, and us. Hell he’s just what Nate needs as he’s routinely out coached in offensive situations and adjustments which his Portland and Indiana times showed
I would trade for Smart too. You can never go wrong with having a guy like him on your team. He’s a different category than Caruso because Marcus will even bang with a big and he can play actual starters minutes full time.
They are going to be very fun to watch but I do agree with the idea they have of they need to consolidate some players into one guy to set their rotation under Nate.

Re: Official trade thread 20-21 edition
Pelinka, Team Doctors and Vogel must been in a long meeting right now on what to do with the coming trade deadline.
No AD and Lebron and THT plays 19 minutes!!, is it becoming it clear that Vogel doesn't trust this kid at all?
I hate bashing Schroder, esp with his ability to get to the line. He sucks from the 3pt line but the reality is, he probably will NOT be going to the FT line that much when he struggles from the field and more importantly, extension talks has stalled, so more likely, he walks and Lakers would lose him for nothing. Yes, he can agree to a sign and trade but what would be his motivation at all to help a team who UNDER VALUED HIM?
Harrell finally played 34 minutes but was he the reason why the Lakers played bad defense last night? Will Vogel play him heavy mins when AD comes back? If not, he probably WALKS too in the summer TOO!!
So who are the options? Myles Turner? Vucevic? would you trade for another shooter? Patty Mills has a career 39% from 3 for 710 games, but will Pops help this team? probably not but he can get THT...?

Vogel's highlighting players he wants to trade right now... Kuzma, Harrell, Schroder all with 30+ minutes, and all with rumors leading up to the trade deadline...
He's trying to keep THT, and Caruso quiet, because he wants to keep them, and he doesn't want them getting banged up in a blow-out.

Re: Official trade thread 20-21 edition
Like Kblo said in one of earlier posts... The Lakers have a bad history when trading for shooters... They all come to LA and suck at shooting suddenly... So I'm hesitant to trade for a guy just based on 3pt ability, but I get that's where we are as a team and the league... I just don't want to dump a bunch of youth and athleticism for a pure shooter...
One thing I was contemplating though, is if Pelinka goes full Pimp-mode on the Drummond deal and uses it as leverage, he might be able to drive the price down a bit on a Myles Turner trade... I just don't know if Turner is really any better than Drummond to warrant the price... He's a block machine, but we'd also be asking him to play next to AD, who also blocks a lot of shots...

This is what I've been sayin. And I agree with other posters. We make this move make that move etc...We would be goin into the Big Dance with untested weapons. Like Bron and Green, when green bricked the game winner in the finals. When 3 defenders swarm Bron, we need an experienced gun in tight situations. Now Green salvaged it in game 6, but still, I ain't trusting some untested weapons

I would like to trade off Caruso, KCP, and THT if we can. Those three have plateaued and will not be helping us with our playoff run this year.
Also why are we still holding onto cacok and antekoumpo? These two havent done anything for us for 2 years .

Can we get a 1 Day Ban for this
. I cant believe you said a 20yr old player has plateaued. He's the one guy I would keep in all of this. He's also the guy that teams are asking for.

ok THT is good.

hey guys, do you really believe Lebron is really hurt (I mean really 4 weeks off merited hurt)?
I have a funny feeling this was behind closed doors talk w Frank and Bron to take an opportunistic approach w this minor ankle twist as a means to get him to load manage a bit for the coming May home stretch into the playoffs?
I have a funny feeling in my gut about it.

Can someone explain how buyout contracts affects the following year? Example, if we get a guy on the buyout market this year, and we do not have cap space next year, whats the max we can sign him to.

Folks were yellin, get rid of DFish? Shaw is traah? Ty Lue is useless. But kcp, Caruso and Tht bring somethin to the table. The big 2 will return, and when they do, these guys know how to act, where to go to. Where Bron and AD like their passes and schemes defensively. We ain't gotta reteach everything with a whole brand new crew. Start Caruso in game 6 of the finals? Cmon, that takes trust time and chemistry for that to happen.
