I feel like Bledsoe isn't as bad as this.

I assure you he is. He has been GODAWFUL. Unplayable bad.

I still would prefer to see if the asking price to take him goes down this summer, though.

Depending on what pick is offered, I would be willing to take on this contract (Knicks).

if you listen to his post game presser last night there's 0 chance he's having 2nd thoughts. It's damage control and posturing from Orlando saying we don't have to move him if we don't like the value.

dont really see how they get the contracts to work and send value on top of it

It makes sense for the LeBron timeline.

Schroeder wants 20m+ per season. Lakers would much rather pay Lowry that.

Just depends if Toronto like Schroeder, Harrell, Kuzma

These players are all the same age as Siakam/FVV/Powell/Boucher

I mean the value part is definitely THT/Lakers 2027 1st unprotected (or very lightly protected). Kuzma is ridiculously difficult to trade, and the contracts would like come from Schroeder/Harrell/KCP. A 3rd team would need to be involved, Raps would send out a vet or 2 like Bembry or Johnson who could give rotation minutes and the Lakers would need to be certain that Drummond is coming.

It's a lot of moving parts for 1 day

Probably but Lakers don't seem to want to give him up based on reports.

Schroeder, KCP, Harrell, THT, picks for Lowry and Powell could work.

Trading Kuzma PPP isn't that hard, it would be legal to trade Lowry for Harrell, Schroeder, Kuzma

This is no way to welcome the newest member of the Mavs.

We already have 3 underwhelming backup centers and have lived the JaVale experience before. We good.

A mid first feels different from a fake first. If he has something real, my guess is its something like Bledsoe/1st to Houston, Dipo to team X. expirings/something less than mid 1st to New Orleans. Where a lot of the pick value is coming from taking on Bledsoe's deal next year.

Or maybe teams really believe in Dipo more than me. I know jayjaysee still really likes him. But he's not been really good in a couple of years now. And his contract demands aren't small with that extension rejected either. IDK.

A mid 1st implies it's currently slotted in the 21' draft (in my head at least). Teams with a mid 1st (15-23?) that aren't the Knicks (who WOJ is saying isn't making real offers) or OKC's (just can't see that interest) are

Celtics #15
Hornets #18
Hawks #19
Spurs #21
Nuggets #23

#23 may be a liberal use of the term "mid" but I thought I'd include it because they are an obvious trade partner

Hornets don't have the salary pieces, so I'd cross them off.

Celtics could make sense, lot of pressure to make the playoffs, they have the TPE to make salary work.

Hawks make sense, also a lot of pressure to make the playoffs, need defense next to Trae, Dipo likes coach McMillan, would need to find a home for Bogdan, and maybe Hou has an interest in Bogs?

Spurs are actually an interesting landing spot for Dipo, every season with Pops is a precious one at this stage of his career, they have salary pieces in Gay/Mills, or perhaps an Aldridge + 1st for Dipo/House, then Houston waives LMA

Nuggets an obvious landing spot, Harris + 1st makes sense

I could see Portland being involved if they were getting assets back to include in another deal that sent out GTJr.

Seems like kind of an overpay. Lakers have limited assets and Lowry is significantly better than Schroeder. I get they dont want to move THT, but there's really no other way to get the deal done

Meh. If JaVale means no Drummond I can live with that.

The most likely deal I see for Bledsoe at this point is a swap to DEN for Harris, and more likely in the offseason.
Harris is the less useless player, but the Nuggets are already pressed up against the tax for next season. They can stretch Bledsoe (2 years, last year is a partial guarantee) for 4.4M over 5 years to save 16.5M in 2021-22, which frees up their full MLE to spend on the replacement.
New Orleans gets off Bledsoe a year early, he clearly doesn't want to be there. This should help them on the court as well since Harris can at least still defend. Maybe even add 2 2nds (say, CLE/WSH 2021 and UTAH 2022) or a late 1st (from the Lakers or Bucks) to grease the wheels, as Denver has traded away a few of their own picks and will be paying someone not to play.

Have to bring back Nellie who started Dirk at SF in a playoff series for that.

I said, more like proclaimed, there was no way the Cavs would trade for JR Smith.

Latest from Woj on Collins.

While John Collins has been mentioned in trade rumors for the last few months, the Hawks are unlikely to trade him at this year’s deadline, Adrian Wojnarowski said during ESPN’s televised Woj & Lowe Trade Deadline Special this afternoon.

“They are going to keep John Collins,” Wojnarowski said. “… Expect him to finish the year with the Hawks.”

A little more on the Hawks front.

Wojnarowski also said on this afternoon’s ESPN special that Atlanta had some interest in Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball, but that possibility may have “gone by the wayside.” Woj wouldn’t be surprised if the Hawks ultimately stand pat at the deadline, or end up just making small tweaks around the edges of their roster.

After LeBon's injury I predicted two wins for them out of what was left of March's schedule. The Cavs and Magic. They have not played them yet. Maybe the Lakeshow is just panicking.

Lowry would be a great get. But I don't like their assets for him.

Or maybe the sourcing is, how do you say it, not the most accurate in general.
